I mentioned, on Facebook, that a local "Christian organization" selling crosses to raise funds, supposedly for their drug rehab program, actually has two gay men making out on their webpage. I said "Just be aware what's behind those crosses - any money you give is supporting a gay agenda".

My friends were pretty horrified.

Someone I have known for 20 years, with a gay daughter (I believe the daughter, only about 14, encountered a sexual predator who molested her and got her going on the gay thing), got very upset, said I was attacking her kid.

No, I said. If I had problems with your family I would have blocked you. But I don't want to give money to support the gay lifestyle.

It's like giving money to Save the Animals, and finding out it's going to the KKK. Very deceptive and abusive.

It has also furthered my decision not to give money to individuals (unless I know them and know they are truly in need).

Honestly what you typed is near impossible to parse because you ping back and forth between such incomprehensible note to one another. So, let me try to organize this.

First you're worried that a Christian Organization may use it's money to help gay people because they demonstrate willingness to include them?

Second is the trite thing where your friend's daughter is gay because she was molested, who rightful would feel upset with you for suggesting both that and that there's such thing as 'gay agenda.'

Third: Why does the gay lifestyle inherently one of welfare that has to rely on christian charities? This is the first time I've heard ANYTHING of the sort.

Fourth: So give to a nice thing and it goes to terrorists. Okay then. But what, other than the church supports gays indicates they are NOT using the money for drug rehab? It's not like everyone that is gay or gay supporter that's in some sort of web of evil that requires to keep gobbling up money to survive.

Fifth: So you won't give money to people unless they are your friends. Christian Charity at the finest!

But in regards to the homophobia, I'm very glad that person you've known for 20 years is very upset with your stupid fuckheadedness. The more people realize that people like you live in a goddamn bubble of hatred and denial, the quicker it'll be to burst that bubble with a cold, hard dose of "Shut the fuck up, you stupid fuckers."

Also, nice name. Acts 5:41: "So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His[a] name."

When they meant shame, they meant ostracized as being followers of the new cult religion before it was cool (The apostles: The ORIGINAL hipsters!), not being told you can't screech and screed your way to hating someone just because they happen to like pussies instead of dicks (or vice-versa).

In fundie mythology, gay is the same as child molester so it sort of makes sense.

But in the 80s, in trying to deal with the increasing power of gay rights support, fundies needed to find some bigotry that sounded scientifical instead of bigoted. Their choice was being molested(a bad thing) leads to gay (another bad thing). They pushed this especially hard with lesbians, claiming the experience established an aversive reaction to men, leaving lesbian sex as the only alternative.

As usual thiese claims were made without any evidence, and when scientists (not "scientists") actually researched it, it turned out to be cow exhaust. The fundies of course doubled down on their molesting causes gay claims in response.

I hope none of the others on the webpage had been eating shellfish or were wearing clothes of mixed fabrics. Those are as heinous crimes as being gay, according to the Bible.

As soon as I am informed of what the Homosexual Agenda is, I bet I'm happy to support it.

If that daughter was molested by a man, she might well have turned away from men completely, if she was the least bit bisexual beforehand, yes.

There is no"gay lifestyle", asshole! All the gays I know have very similar lifestyles to mine.
I would have guessed that you like the KKK. They are Christians, like you, they hate dark-skinned people and gays, like you probably do.

In Sweden, all charity organizations that have "open books" and can show that almost all donated money go to people in need, get a special postal giro number, which all begin with 900.

As I'm happily married, other people's sexual orientation is of little or no interest to me; it's simply their business (as long as they're not interested in me or my husband).

Xians have a looooong history of further victimizing the victims of same-sex rape (as well as rape victims in general) I remember reading in Georges Vigarello's A History of Rape: Sexual Violence in France from the 16th to the 20th Century that in medieval times, victims of male-on-male rape would get the same punishment as their attacker: they had been involved in sodomy, you see, and sodomy was seen as a type of blasphemy/a crime against Biblegod. The fact that they had not been a willing party was immaterial, God had been wronged. This could lead to rapists being able to blackmail their victims into helping conceal their crimes because they'd be executed too if the rapist was discovered...

Let me see if I can translate all this brain vomit. You found out that this Christian organization is actually gay friendly. I'm thinking that they do use donations for a drug rehabilitation program, but the fact that there are Christians who are actually good human beings has upset you so much, you haven't actually checked to see if that's right. Also, you believe that your friend's lesbian daughter must have been molested, because people can't be born gay or anything. Oh, and then you compare us gays to the KKK. Because a whole community composed of members from different racial, ethnic, gender, and social backgrounds fighting for basic human rights is just like a group of racist white people who wish to eliminate anyone who isn't white, straight, and cisgender. You do know they hate us, and would love to see us dead, right?
