Fools and heretics! God is BEYOND logic. Logic is a construct of a finite mind. God can make 1+1=2. He can also make 1+1=3.
Infinity is a plaything for God. Yet you can't even comprehend it. Do not try to understand God with your pitiful logic.

Look at it this way, guys: jma037 realizes that trying to prove God exists is a waste of time. Sure, he/she chooses blind faith, but -with the admission that that is what it is-. You can't say that for most fundies.
"Fools and heretics!"
Wasn't that a big hit for Sonny and Cher?
"He can also make 1+1=3"
I'll believe you when you explain what "1+1=3" MEANS.
"Do not try to understand God with your pitiful logic."
I told your mother not to give you so much sugary food, see, this is what happens!
If God is beyond all logic, it would be possible for him to create the universe and everything in it, send his only son to perform miracles for us, answer our prayers and still not exist...
Yet strangely, just let a vague likeness of Jesus' face appear on an overcooked piece of bacon and people like jma037 here can't say "Proof!" fast enough nor loud enough.
And this from the same people who claim God's existence is obvious and that all Biblical injunctions are perfectly reasonable. You can't have it both ways, guys - your religion can't be a paragon of reasonableness when you want to make laws with it, and simultaneously an impenetrable mystery whenever we point out its gaping holes and bizarre contradictions.
10+10=7 is correct.
10(base 3) + 10(base 4) = 7(base 10)
Any mathematician will tell you that any lunatic and charltan can "prove" anything they want to the gullible by playing with infinity. Religion being a case in point.
So when God says, "Thou shalt not kill," he could actually mean "Kill everybody in sight!"? He doesn't have to obey logic, remember!
Whoops, there goes your Bible, right out the window! I hate it when people insist God doesn't obey logic, then list a hundred things that they know for sure about God.

O_O ...
Has something like that actually happened? But wasn't Jesus kosher? :p I do agree with your point though.
"Do not try to understand God with your pitiful logic."
And just how do you understand god? Oh, right.
We can't prove it, you can't prove it, so we'll just settle? God is too complex for either to understand?
And no, 'God' cannot make 1+1=3...hell, he couldn't even get Pi right
1+1=2, get the fuck over it.
oh... is it?
start a Forth interpreter and type the following:
: 1 5 ;
Now 1+1 will be 10. let's test it (Forth uses postfix-notation):
1 1 + .
and the answer is 10 :)
Allegory for Jesus: "I try to imagine this post as spoken by the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future. It really takes the stupid out..."
I hear Ignignokt, myself. It's pompous and bullshitty--the kind of non-logic he'd use to steal your couch right to your face. "Do not try to understand the Mooninites. We are beyond logic. You cannot even comprehend us."
I agree entirely, but I don't think you do :)
And iirc, there are cases where 1+1=/=2. Curved space, I think.

Not that I know of, he did once 'show up' on a half-eaten bacon sandwich , but that was only on the bread (I like the bit at the end where the sandwich's owner gets hungry, so eats the other half of the sandwich).
It's illogical for something that doesn't exist to be beyond logic, thus the excuse for trying to prove he exists. God's existence is beyond logic, so, logically, he has to exist. What sort of dumb fucking argument is that?
I actually agree with the OP ... *sigh* but somehow I don't think we go to the same end point from that common first step.
ps - making a mathematical/logical system for which 1 + 1 =/= 2 isn't so hard. George Carlin did it with bread crumbs in the 70's. If it's useful to your work, you can make a system where 1 + 1 = 3, or 4, or is indeterminate. I advise against claiming God-hood based on this capability.
He can also make 1+1=3.
No.

Can he make Pi = exactly 3?
Maybe it wasn't just the fact that certain Chariots were made of Iron that scared him shitless, eh...?! [/Judges 1:19]
Confused?
