Many think you should Lie Down and just take it especially if its Government sanctioned persecution. Romans 13:1-7: The Bible says it; fundies have to do it; that settles it.
Put down your Bibles? Going by the comments of most fundies here, I doubt the vast majority of them - yourself included on the basis of your second sentence - have even picked up the Bible in the first place.
Half the time fundies are claiming that the massacres of the crusades weren't done by christians but 'by catholics', the other half the time they're frothing at the bit to start 'killing for jeebus'!
"Persecution" apparently means being mocked for going around with a Bible and trying to preach to people or being told they can't use someone else's property for their proselytizing activities. Too bad they can't go to Saudi Arabia or North Korea, or maybe turn black for a few weeks so they can learn what the word actually means.But know the Homosexual Lobby is persecuting them as well
How many straight people have been beat up, tied to a fence and left to freeze to death or beaten to death with a baseball bat by homosexuals? That's persecution. Complaining that teachers can't conduct Christian prayer sessions in your public school classroom is whining. Pray at home. Is God suffering from Alzheimer's that He's going to forget your prayers while you're in school for a few hours?
I hate to break it to you, but catholic priests are the group with the highest rate of homosexuality I know of. So drop the bible, pick up a gun, and shoot a christian - and save one for yourself :)
Should you decide to act upon this notion that you should kill all atheists ... start at my house. Bring the whole congregation. I will be more than happy to give you a lesson in marksmanship. I rely on physics, and ballistics - but dont worry - god will deflect the bullets if science is wrong :)
As for persecution ... people that do not believe in god are persecuted far more than any christian. unfortunately, we are the minority in the US, not christians.

You have your own schools because ours are not good enough for you, among a host of other things (Tax free status, political sway, your own channels, as well as practically free roam on others for your evangelists to preach on Sundays.)
