Allah /is/ the God of Abraham et al. how fucking dumb do you have to be not to know that Jews, Christians and Muslims all worship the same God? The only difference is how much of the holy book you read, Jews stop before you lot and Muslims carry on a bit.
You are of course talking of Allah, the god of Ibrahim, Ishaq and Ya'qub and Isa ibn Maryam, his second greatest prophet.

But you're right about one thing ....god wasn't around to protect anybody, nor has he shown up in person to smite anybody, nor has he made any new laws lately although some of his followers have taken it upon themselves to do so (blasphemy, anyone?).
