Jerome Horwitz:
Child abuse. End of story.

Ambulance Chaser:
Based on what authority? Because the mental health community disagrees with you.

Jerome Horwitz:
I do not need "authority" to know what I see with my own two eyes. And the mental health community is no longer of value, as they have become vehicles for political activism.

Ambulance Chaser:
So, then, you can't support your position. Got it, thanks.

Jerome Horwitz:
Not an argument.

Ambulance Chaser:
Just so you don't lose the narrative here, you made an assertion, and I asked you to back it up. You refused, saying you don't need to.

I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim.

Jerome Horwitz:
No, you didn't. You wanted me to appeal to authority, something I don't have to do.

By your logic, if I see someone repeatedly punching a toddler in the face, I need to first seek someone with an alphabet soup after their name and have them say, yes, this toddler is being punched in the face, and, yes, it's abusive, before I can say so.

The stupid burns.

Ambulance Chaser:
You misunderstand what an "appeal to authority" is. It's not citing someone who has ample evidence to support their claim. Appeal to authority is stating that "X position must be true, because a person with qualifications and wide esteem says it is," REGARDLESS of whether that person has evidence or not.

I'm asking you for evidence. I don't care whose research you cite, or how acclaimed their name is. I want to see what proof they have. I would even accept your own research, if it were performed to scientific standards.

Jerome Horwitz:
The proof is in what I see.

No research required.

If that's not good enough for you, then I'm glad. Your standards leave something to be desired.

Ambulance Chaser:
Okay, so what did you see?

Jerome Horwitz:
I saw a boy being deliberately raised as a girl. That's child abuse. Case closed.
