I'm a pacifist. I don't hate religious people. I don't wish to see religious people rounded up and shipped off. I don't destroy property or put others in harms way. Nor do I advocate anyone doing so. Any individual who hides behind a religion, philosophy, or ideal to justify hatred is wrong.
I do disagree with religion and am skeptical of god.
I do want education to focus on evidence rather than myth.
Well, the KKK was religious. You can tell by the crosses they burn on people's lawn, which, by the way, atheists do not do.
"Is atheists uniting..." - fmko
"Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?" - Bush
Right outta the same camp
Well, our cause is a bit more valid because people can consciously decide what to believe, whereas race is inherent and not something you can really argue against.
Also, we don't hate theists, we hate theism.
You do know that KKK consider themselves a group of good Christians, just like you do, yes?
Atheist won't burn a cross on your lawn, or lynch you if they don't approve of you.
Getting atheists to agree on much of anything is like herding cats.
Oh, and the KKK tends to commit acts of violence and terrorism. So that's a Godwin Jr, you fucknut, as you've compared a completely inexcusable violent group with a completely arbitrary group of people.
Hating religion is different than hating religious people. You, for example, probably hate communism, but it doesn't mean you think all communists ought to be lynched KKK style, or even imprisoned or any such thing. See, in the 21st century, we have a thing called freedom of conscience.
Atheists tend to believe in that instead of sky daddies.
Wow, am i the first to point out fmko spelt "unite" wrong?
And as several people have pointed out, the KKK are all fundie Christians.
Idiot, way to make an ungrounded statement
Yes, I am a Reverend.
Atheists do not hate religion at all. They respect the beliefs of others absolutely, but hate ignorance.
In order to be a member of the KKK, you have to prove that your ENTIRE family are members of the Baptist Church, with no exceptions.
The (many) atheists I know are christian in all but name in thier contributions to mankind, and bigots such as yourself, display the ignorant belligerence of your distorted beliefs.
I don't hate religion, I disagree with it, and I do not wish to practice it, though I respect the beliefs of others to practice it if they wish to. Most moderate religious people understand this, and in doing so they leave me alone, and I'll leave them alone. Oh yeah, and the KKK are Christians, don't ya know?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
