What an idiotic, judgmental, ignorant tit. It's called a consensual relationship. No siblings. No children. No animals.
However, the most sickening part of the typical fundy BS is that, marriage isn't about sex. People of all ages and sexual orientation will have sex. They will fall in love. They will share a domicile. No sane person seeks permission, to have sexual relations, especially from fundies.
Marriage isn't about all the inevitable, unstoppable, sex. It's about rights. The right to truly, legally, share one's life with another. Little things like joint bank accounts and taxes. Things like shared health insurance. Things like parental rights.
Here's a story for ya:
An old friend of mine is a lesbian. Neither she nor her partner realized they were gay until after they had children with their ex-husbands. I've visited their happy, if somewhat crowded, home and seen the loving and responsible parents in action. Both ex-husbands were deadbeats and my friend's ex ended up killing himself driving drunk.
Well, my friend was hospitalized after a car accident while out of town when her daughter suffered acute appendicitis. My friend's partner, Mom2 as the kids affectionately call her, was not allowed to give consent for emergency surgery. And she wasn't even allowed to sit with the poor girl in the emergency room.
Since they figured she wouldn't die immediately, the hospital waited until the child's mother awoke from surgery, and gave her consent, to perform the appendectomy. The poor girl had to spend several hours alone and in agony when a responsible adult was on hand to approve treatment. Why should people like this innocent girl suffer?
But, the real clincher is this. The dead guy's parents, who were not at home at the time and are too old-fashioned for cell phones, tried to use the incident as an excuse to sue for custody of my friend's two children.
The exact moment I became "pro gay marriage" was when I saw the absolute terror in my friend's eyes as she related the story. I even lent her a few bucks to hire a better attorney and she retained sole custody of her kids.
And that's what gay marriage is about. Anyone who can't see that is the "pervert".
