If your rejection of theism involves attacking that theism then you are a counter theism...which is a theism in itself. To try and detach yourself from it is little dishonest.
You are saying I don't believe in God so no one else must...you have made yourselves gods...and worse than that...you are trawling through every avenue open to you toget your patronage from...building your on converts to the adherence of the thinking of your high priest...hmmm I can't see much difference whatever you callit...except that I,like millions before me find an awful lot of truth in the pain, suffering and teaching of Jesus Christ...not forgetting that he showed how you and I can achieve resurrection if we abandon false gods...like yours.

no, antitheism is not a theism in itself.
i am not saying "i don't believe in god, and therefore no one else must either". i am saying "i don't believe in god, and judging from the observed evidence, god-belief appears to me to be an overall negative force in society as a whole, and more often than not in individual people's mental well-being also; therefore, i think it would be an overall improvement for us all if people quit that shit".
that is not a theistic belief. it may not necessarily be a factually correct belief, but i think it is, and will hold onto it unless and until decisively proven wrong about it.
the only problem is how to convince people to grow up enough to leave their invisible friends behind. brute force obviously doesn't work. education seems to help a bit, when one can brute-force enough politicians into sufficiently funding it.
"You are saying I don't believe in God so no one else must"
No, NM. It's people like you saying "I believe in God so everyone one else must!"
"
You are saying I don't believe in God so no one else must"
Which I see in you and your fellow Christians is you believe in god and worship him and so much everyone else.
"not forgetting that he showed how you and I can achieve resurrection if we abandon false gods...like yours."
First off if they're atheists, they don't have gods.
Second there is as much evidence for the gods I worship as yours. Yours could be and likely is false. I mean the Bible more than once is wrong
the problem with Jesus' suffering is that today it's a highly devalued currency. Just about every day we can find examples of people who've been made to suffer as much, if not more. Some of them are specifically killed for expressing doctrines more kind and universal than what Jesus allegedly preached.
Nonononono.
Let me sum it up for you.
Fundamentalist Atheism (or as you called it, counter-theism): The positive claim that God does not exist, and that we know for sure that he does not exist. We do not have evidence for this being true, so it could, to some degree, be faith-based. However, most people would not call themselves this, and rightfully so.
Agnostic Atheism (What most people are): The lack of belief in any religious system, typically due to a lack of evidence supporting a particular belief. This does NOT need evidence, and is NOT faith-based.
Most atheists simply haven't been shown substantial evidence for the lord's existence, and would probably be willing to change their mind if they had such evidence.
Also notice the lack of worship of anything anywhere in those definitions.
Oh look, another example of a fundie idiot who's been so thoroughly drowned in religious dogma that he can't even comprehend that there are people who don't worship anything.
It's actually kind of sad seeing people whose minds have been broken this way.

I joke about the "snow" that plays on unallocated TV channels being my favorite Christmas show. The difference between me and you is that I know it's dumb.
If your rejection of theft involves attacking that theft then you are a counter-thief, which is theft in itself. To try to detach yourself from it is a little dishonest.
@Uilleam:
I think what you describe would be more like when the Immortal Emperor almost created a Chaos God of Nonbelief.
"Whatever we call it", it isn't theism. You can keep your mythology and your supernatural beings. But I, however, am a real grown-up (much as I dislike thinking of myself that way) and don't read comic books and bible stories any more.
If there had been a real Jesus and a real crucifiction, that's one more example of the barbarism of a distant and unenlightened past. That day is over. Suffering for an ignorant mistake doesn't make it right.
You are saying I don't believe in God so no one else must
You're looking in a mirror. I don't believe in God but I'm OK with others believing in it as long as they keep it to themselves and keep their religion out of government. It's your lot who think that since you believe in God everyone else must, too. I don't see any atheist groups standing on street corners harassing passersby or going door-to-door to get people to come to their meetings.
Confused?
