The BSA isn't going to slam its doors on 10% of their potential membership just because you don't trust them.

Reality check: it's still a crime to rape someone. That's not going to change any time soon. If someone does fail to exercise an appropriate level of restraint, and their defense is "but that's discrimination", I'm sure the gay community will join me and all rational people in decrying such a pale attempt at misdirection.

Did you know that the last segregated Boy Scout Council did not integrate until 1974! And that when the scouts started de-segregating, a number of Boy Scout officials in Richmond, Va. even threatened to stage a public burning of Scout uniforms if black boys were permitted to wear them? So this notion the Boy Scouts are somehow this safe, protective nest for young boys above all the sins of the real world is just pure bullshit.

Yeah, thank God for the bigoted BSA. I mean, the courts are rife with homosexual rape cases from camp-outs arranged by non-bigoted organizations (YMCA, GSA, etc.)

And of course you are quite right. I meant African Americans, but you are absolutely correct insofar as the BSA still excludes atheists because the Scout Oath calls obedience to God.

Yes, that's right. We've had gay people since forever, so since the year is now 2014 it's about time you finally got used to that fact that they exist.
LGBT people can restrain themselves. I am an Eagle Scout with three palms and an omnisexual, and I stayed in because I did not have sex with other scouts, I did not eyeball, and I did not step out of the closet. Points one and two are both Scout rules and common sense. Point three is because the rule against out Scouts was still up when I turned 18 and because there are more important and relevant things to do than come out anyway.
