That's called growth and development, and it happens regardless of whether or not you like it. Are you glad that you don't live in ancient Rome where, as a Christian, you most likely would have been persecuted and eventually killed? Do you like being able to vote your head of government into office? Do you like being able to spew such shit from your mouth and not have to fear being arrested and jailed (or worse) for it? Then you should be thankful that ideas "take over" a culture, because otherwise you would have none of the freedoms you enjoy so much today that you take them entirely for granted.
