Government monitors RR?
With the US governemnt becoming more interested in censoring free speech and monitoring online content, do you think they are already keeping tabs on this site? Do you think they log posts and compile profiles on members here? Do you think they go so far as to register and infiltrate posing as members?
[Note: There is a poll attached to this thread, and at the time of this quote submission, 56 out of 63 respondents have voted that yes, the government does monitor what is said on RR. ]

There's no way we're keeping tabs on all fruitcakes the america.
So go along and live your life on 724 Maple Street. Springfield, Ohio.
No, the government isn't keeping tabs on you, it's us here at FSTDT. And it's not for sinister purposes, it's so we can make fun of you.
Oh and I've registered and posted as a member there, and actually got one of my posts quoted here. But not any more, I got fed up with the oppressive censorship by the mods.
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the police kept an eye on certified nutbags with barely repressed suicidal tendencies, a general approval of child abuse and a persecution complex.
They're the kind of people who could drown their kids in the tub so they can escape the tribulations, or go and snipe their atheist neighbour in pre-emptive self-defense. Avoiding a tragedy or two would be well worth a few hours of salary every other week.
Ya know what I love about RR? Tehy are so batshit they think that they are the only ones in the world who read the Bible, and it never crosses their mind that people can be Christian and yet not be a member of their super secret club. All of them are saying the same thing in that post, talking as if the Feds are looking at them and that they are all atheists and out to get em. It's increadly funny to me.
Ironically, we at FSTDT are doing something a bit like this - we log the stupidest posts, and I know there have been some FSTDTers infiltrating RR to access their members-only forums.
But really, now, wanting to be monitored by the FBI is a pretty lofty goal for that persecution complex.
Wow, the poll is currently 80 people who say yes to 11 people who say no.
I've always thought that RR was a paranoid religious cult, and this is just further evidence. But what I find hilarious is that they think they're so important that the government actually cares what they say. I can picture a couple guys in a darkened basement of a government facility in Washington DC in front of a computer screen, one turns to the other and says, "Hey Joe, take a look at what Buzzardhut says about the president." Joe reads the screen, reaches for the red phone and says, "Get me the president."
Ironic, though, that their beloved president G.W. Bush and his wonderful Patriot Act made it possible for the government to spy on Americans' email and internet usage.
@Colgate :
"Quick - go to Plan Alpha Beta Gamma. "
You mean hold a frat party?
@Percy:
If I knew where any of these mooks lived, I'd love to do that. Get a plain white van, like a Ford Econoline, with darkened windows on the side and a bunch of antennas on the roof, then park it in front of their house. Then after a few days go on to the the next RR tard's house and so on. Then see how long it takes for the posts to show up on RR.
The closest the government is to monitoring your website is called open source intelligence. But given the shear amount of data the OSINT people have to deal with it may as well be useless, IMHO. So, unless you're on RR threatening violence or using it as a recruiting tool for violent groups then no, law enforcement is not monitoring your website.
Just wanted to say: 84/14 Y/N votes.
For the government's sake, I hope they're wrong. A heavy dose of this would bring ME to my knees. In brain pain, not prayer.
(P.S. I never really read any posts from them, outside of FSTDT, but the few minutes spent going over the thread gave me a headache...ow)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
