Hogestyn, who has played John Black on NBC's "Days" for over 20 years, says he was with his family in the backyard of their Malibu home when Carl Raymond Cheney of Portland, OR came onto his property and ran at his daughter carrying a bible screaming "Where is he? I will cast him out!" Hogestyn says Cheney was "calling me by my stage name...recalling past storylines, especially the demonic possession of several years past. But more important, he thought I was dead, because the show that aired on Friday 12.29.06 left my character John Black shot and presumer dead."

Well, Fundies do get their information mainly from television.
And they tend to assume that TV shows are a good source for information.
So...
deffinitely insane,
possibly fundie,
...recalling past storylines, especially the demonic possession of several years past. But more important, he thought I was dead...
So he was going to do an exorcism on a dead person? Seems a bit pointless, even for an insane fundy.
Yes, this is not just fundiness, but insanity.
However, apart from the issue of trespassing, I think this differs very little from the inability of fundie regulars quoted on this site to differentiate between scientific and historical facts and, on the other hand, biblical and religious fiction.
Well, there is ONE additional difference, and that would be that the TV shows are supposedly understood to be be fiction, while the Bible and creationism (for instance) are frequently touted as absolute fact by people who supposedly know what they're talking about. So I guess maybe this is worth a 4 on the fundometer rather than a 5.

Ahh, Bruce Willis can handle trouble. Bruce Willis doesn't brush his teeth -- he just grimaces in the mirror and all the germs run away!
Welp, the guy in the OP sure gives Nurse Betty a run for her money. I hope he has an understanding boss.
The bible is just like a soap, filled with leaps in logic, paper-thin characters, characters returning from the dead, sexual tension, dramatic horseshit, sex-crazed and murderous characters, goofy 'heroes', and crappy writing.
I think we shouldn´t be posting this type of acts committed by looneys. Honestly, it´s just a delusional fan who is unable to distinguish reality from fiction. Religious content aside, virtually every Hollywood star has got problems like this. I even remember that a very well-known Argentinian actor in telenovelas, who was my neighbour when I lived in Miami, used to tell me that he was mortified by an old woman who blamed him for the death of one of the heroines in the show.
Fiction =/= Reality!
But yeah.... Holy $#!&
That's not unusual, except in degree. Lots of actors have experiences where fans have confronted them as if they were the characters they portrayed.
(It also inspired an episode of Night Court where Marion Ross portrayed a demented woman who thought all TV shows were real. They explained the idea of "fiction" to her, and her response was "even The Fonz? "
If you don't get why that's funny, you're younger than me.
So stupid I had to read it 5 time before being ure to understand.
I fell sorry for you, Americans fellows, to share your country with brain dead people.

He should consider himself lucky Mr. Hogestyn's residence wasn't in Texas.
Last time I heard, one has the legal right in that state to shoot to wound someone who trespasses in the grounds of your property. But if they should enter your house, then...!
Shooting. Cheney. Coincidence? You decide...!
...oh, and Carly-boy here had better not watch the fim "Red State", if he knows what's good for him...! >:D
Bible weilding
Exorcism speak
Disconnect from reality
If it's not fundie it's still the deep Christian fanatical belief that they carry, related for sure. Unless all y'all have come to accept this behavior as normal.
@Coffee
They shouldn't give bibbles to mentally fragile people.
Who else would have them?

@Mister Spak
We should broadcast a show that portrays the rapture so these dummies will think it happened and get on with real life.
Where is Orson Welles when we need him?
Or, for that matter, where is Jennifer Welles when I ned her ?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
