In my opinion, Climate Change is a tool with many intended purposes. Here are a few I can think of:
1) A reason to fund a global government, with industrial countries paying the most tax.
2) A reason to explain God's judgments in Revelation when they occur. (Scorching heat, drought etc.) They don't want anyone turning to God.
3) A reason to limit CO2 / economies making more people poor and dependent on government.
4) A reason to enrich the ruling class.
I believe we are seeing every judgment in Revelation has a deception forming in advance to explain it.
You have the antibiotic super bug to explain future plagues.
You have fracking to explain earth quakes increasing.
UFO's to explain rapture. Etc.

"4) A reason to enrich the ruling class."
You'd be seeing trillions fed into reversing the effects if there was profit in it for the wealthy American royalty you all bow to.
It's one of my worries for the future in fact. Finally it gets so bad, becomes so apparent we need to commit much to reversing atmospheric conditions we finally super fund it and feed the worlds remaining wealth right into the Koch Empire.
And you brainwashed fuckers would be fine with that cause " What's good fer busness is good fer 'Merica!, dey'll do the raight thang!"
5) Global warming is actually happening and is caused by human emissions.
6) Global warming is bad because climate change causes mass-extinctions and mass-extinctions eventually hit the top of the food chain. Since humans are the top of the food chain...?
@Canadiest
The thing that I find fascinating is how well the oil barons are running the show. Every energy revolution makes huge fortunes and the oil barons stand to make the biggest profit because they already have the infrastructure to deliver new energy sources. The Kochs, BP, Exxon Mobile, and other energy providers are investing hugely in alternative energy research.
1) Industrial countries already pay the most tax. You get more tax revenue from industry than from agriculture.
2) So the events of Revelation started the very same day as climate change was discovered?
3) Then why is it the private and voluntary sectors that are doing the most research into climate change and into ways of coping with the change? That's how capitalism works.
4) If that were true, energy and other corporations wouldn't be pouring billions into their own and many universities' research budgets for dealing with climate change. But they do.
So, if the rapture has been going since the 1940s, how does that reflect what's written in Revelation?
1). The United Nations is hilariously inept at everything it does. Not a surprise, really, considering that there is far too much ideological diversity amongst the nations for them to be united any time soon.
2). You guys have been attributing bad stuff to Jesus for 2000 years. Climate change allows scientists to make specific predictions about what trends will be seen in what areas of the world. Your Bible can only say "bad stuff will happen in various places".
3). Alternatively, we could develop technologies that don't pump CO2 into the air, like what the scientists were urging us to do for decades.
4). BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Didn't you just object to putting any limits whatsoever on industry? And now you're worried about enriching the ruling class? Who do you think runs industry?
Antibiotic resistant superbugs were predicted by scientists, not the Bible.
An increase in earthquakes in the areas effected by fracking was predicted by scientists, not the Bible.
Nobody aside from fringe kooks believes there are aliens visiting earth.
So putting heavier taxes on corporations and limiting their productive capacity will somehow magically make them richer ? You wanna walk us through that one?
And what the hell is an antibiotic super bug? The successor to penicillin?
But the energy industry is the only one with a direct financial stake in the matter, and the only ones financing the handful of climate-change deniers. If you want to know who's telling the truth, as the lawyers say, "cui bono" ("who benefits").
The ruling class tend to be the people that earn money from fossil fuels and other natural resources, aka the very people that deny man caused climate change.
Also while these people want it to seem like it's the government that pushes climate change in reality it's out government that pushes against it.
@Alencon :
Well, at least he seems to accdet that Climate Change is in fact happening. That's a start.
Not really, he claimed that climate change is a tool, insinuating that it was made up by the powers that be for special purposes.
Except proponents of climate change are not suggesting that the world will end, akin to the rapture, but humanity and several other species are at risk of extinction. There's a big difference there.
"You have fracking to explain earth quakes increasing."
Not mining? Mining has caused far more earthquakes than fracking, especially in the UK where abandoned coal mines and the reactivation of faults pose a moderate risk in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire the north-east, and anywhere else which has a mining history.
Fracking can't be used to explain earthquakes along plate margins with high magnitudes. The vast majority of earthquakes linked to fracking are barely able to be felt, and the exceptional circumstances where it can be (e.g. Blackpool) are accounted for by the academics, and even then the probability of them posing a significant risk to life and infrastructure is small. Earthquakes and fracking pose no more risk than earthquakes caused by mining, yet the complaints over the latter have been minimal in comparison, but this is such when people pay attention to drivel like Gasland and the Frack Off blog.
"UFO's to explain rapture."
Alien abductions are as implausible as your rapture madness; no rational minded person is using this.
Confused?
