The Bible can say what it likes. It was written by men, whom others claim were inspired by the Holy Ghost. But there is no hard proof. There is only their word for it. So it could all be a great mind-control con trick.

There have always been natural disasters. It what comes of living on a volatile, living planet. All the evidence, looked at fairly, shows these events are pretty random. Plate tectonics caused the tsunami in 2005. No a god. Such events are targeted at everyone, the good, the bad and the indifferent. They are certainly not divine retribution. If they were, they would lower the rating of the divinity very far as they have as equal effect on happy fundamentalists and gay homosexuals who live in an area where such things happen. A real god would be able to employ more accurate and effective form of zapping - assuming a real god, having created gays, wanted to blame them for his own handiwork.

How do you know this? Where are the surveys, methodologies of your enquiries into this? Straights too get AIDS and die of it, and it's really sad. But gays were convenient scapegoats because society steered them onto a path of promiscuity that left them vulnerable to this disease. Of course there are some gays, just like straights, who will take not heed or precaution... This is pathetic and irresponsible, but it's also life.

On another level,for your smart-arsed information, I have been living in a relationship for 35 years. My beloved partner, who has grown old with me, is now ill (Not AIDS! I add this parenthesis mainly to stop any gloating on your part.), and I have been celibate for over a year. It's no big deal. It's life.
However, if you think I am going to take this kind of uninformed, ignorant and hypocritical BS from you or anyone else, you are quite mistaken. The self-righteousness of you and your kind stink to the highest heaven. If there were a god, you would be punished for the sin of being found without charity while at the same time full of bumptious self-justification. In a word, you and your ilk are assholes. Try applying the philosohpies of Jesus are portrayed in the Gospels rather than the pestiferous perversions dished out to you in your fundamentalist churches.
A final point: psychologists would point out that the fundamentalist's constant harping on about an alternative sexuality is a sign of deep insecurity about said fundamentalist's own sexuality.
