Obama admistration officials have said they intend on allowing the elderly to die if it costs any significant amount of money to keep them alive, I believe it was Robert Reich who said it.
This is about the same attitude the Nazis had, as well as Progressives in this country. Ultimately they wish to establish a panel where they can decide yearly if anyone deserves to continue living or not, with people having to explain the merits of their continued existence. That is what Obamacare will create unless it is repealed or ruled unconstitutional.

Even if the first paragraph was true, I'd remind you that we're all going to die. Personally, if keeping me "alive" a little longer requires machines and a significant amount of money then I have requested that my wife refuse the option.
I thought you people were eager to join God in Heaven. Why do you want to put off the opportunity or deny it to others? Shouldn't your response be "Thank the Lord, Uncle Joe has terminal cancer! I hope he dies soon so that he can join meet God!"?
@rizz': going out on a limb here, and i'll go for the reactionnaries and proto-fascists screaming "socialism!!"... which it was, for once. not gonna fact check, so correct me if my hypothesis is wrong... hell, right vs left duked it out in the streets until the 50's (ok, there was that one war, too)
You already have death panels in the US, and have had for decades.
They're more normally called "Insurance Company Boards of Directors".
I have heard far more stories per capita of people dying because they've been denied insurance than I have of people cut off from care here in Ontario. And believe you me, the press would jump all over that shit up here.
So, the difference is now the people making these decisions won't be profit-motivated, and will instead by public-good motivated? Wait, how is this bad at all? Oh, I see, this shit has been shouted at you on fox so much you think it's real. Poor sod.
Jesus tittyfucking Christ, lay off with the death panel crap already. All you have to do is look at countries with even much more socialised healthcare than the American "You must buy a product from private enterprise" approach to see that this is not the case in the slightest.
Actually I suppose the financial incentive to let old people die might be a temptation for profit-driven insurance companies, but that's more the fault of introducing naked capitalism into healthcare more than the Obamacare bill.
"Obama admistration officials have said they intend on allowing the elderly to die if it costs any significant amount of money to keep them alive, I believe it was Robert Reich who said it."
Citation or die in a fire.
And with private health insurance you already have death panels. When you submit a claim an army of actuaries, accountants, and lawyers, come crawling out of the woodwork and make a decision: is it worth it for them? In other words, will you live long enough to pay them back, and more, or should they just cut you loose? Here in Canada (which SwordofGeddo probably couldn't find on a map if it was the only country with a name on it), our health insurance is socialized, and we don't have death panels.
So fuck off.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
