'Public' schools here in Britain are the private ones: Eton. Harrow. Gordonstoun. The former two are where the rich & politicians of the future are educated. The latter where Britain's royalty went to.
Our royalty. Including a fair few monarchs. Who of course were heads of the Church of England. A past head being King James I. You remember him, do you not; he was the very one who gave you that KJV. And when you consider why he was known as Queen James I, even what you define as 'Public' schools - state-owned ones here in Britain - being corrupt is the least of your problems, Davey-boy. The very basis of your doctrine, your way of thinking is as corrupt as it's possible to be. Ergo, you.
Also, your Americentricism FAIL.
Actually, you should be glad that so many previous Prime Ministers went to Eton & Harrow; they being Church of England-based: the former founded by the creator of the C-of-E, King Henry VIII, no less. According to our constitution, one cannot be a Catholic and be elected to 10 Downing Street; so despite the /pol/tards on 4chan's wishes, Jerkoff Pees-Bogg can only become Chancellor of the Exchequer at most, as left-footers such as him cannot become even Deputy PM.
Oh, and if you think Church & State should be indivisible, consider this: since 1967, every fundie Christain MP's attempts to amend the legislation concerning abortion - which has always gone to a Free Vote - has gone against them. Even the Church of England peers in the House of Lords say that it is a matter of the individual believer's conscience: both voter & MP: thus the Free Vote.
And when those same C-of-E clergy peers dropped their opposition to Same-Sex Marriage, thus that Bill breezed through the House of Commons & rubber stamped into law by MPs, then the fact that what those clergy's - and said state religion they belong to - doctrine is based on: and via whom, should give you a clue as to why: even though we have a state religion: the Church of England, ours is very much a secular democracy based on Rule of Law.
Another clue for a Zimbabwean Dollar: the word 'Hypocrisy'. But in this case, not yours David J. Pedo: what made those clergy peers drop their opposition to S-SM. But what should make you change to another 'Version' of that True 'Word' of your 'God'.
I suggest you take a look at the Jefferson Bible. Even though it's a KJV, you'll see certain changes to such: and by him. The original is preserved in the Smithsonian Institute as a priceless part of the US's history, but is readily available as this 'version' is in the public domain. Therefore these quotes by him:
'I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature'
'There is more need for lighthouses in our country than churches.'
'But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.'
'Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear'
'I have examined all the known superstitions of the world, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology.'
'Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man'
There's an extremely good reason why he said the above, should you read his Bible. The last one being the clincher.
It is a KJV-based one after all: so you have no excuses whatsoever.
