“As a hetero, I would fear homo’s in contact with me, for health risk reasons.”
Yeah, okay. I did 20 in the service and can count on the fingers of my third hand how many times i accidentally shared bodily fluids with another service member.
Can’t count the number of times we swapped fluids voluntarily, but i ended up marrying that sailor, anyway.
“I can put myself at risk for PC purposes, but can not afford to risk family.”
THen don’t have sex with anyone in uniform. Screw the prostitutes out in town like you’re supposed to.
“Just as I don’t do high risk sport activities for sake of family,”
You…think your wife, your kid, might catch a torn ACL from you?
"I (and many others) would not want to be in situations of unnecessary risk, which would include being in the military,”
I rode submarines. It’s not risk-free. But i considered the risk necessary to do my job.
"combat arms especially, where contamination risk by an infected homo is high.”
Again, never accidentally had unprotected fluid-swapping sex while serving. Can’t really imagine it coming up while being shelled, you know?
“Dittos for someone with any communicatable disease.”
They had these things, when i was in? Where the communicable disease carriers were isolated from the rest of us? Hospitals? They ahd entire wards closed off so no one would share the fun stuff. At one point when they suspected a sailor of hepetitis, he had his very own toilet, for his use and his use only.
So, probably not that much risk of HIM being on the front line. They got him off the Aircraft Carrier as soon as it was not a suicide mission to do so.
“Safe beats PC (sorry).”
