[Should you still retain even a scrap of faith in humanity, read the entire thread and let the poor thing finally die.]
I'd rather be in a "cult" and HAVE my life
then to
not be in a cult, and NOT have my life.

The amount of "amen, brother randy"'s in that thread is disturbing. Though reading the first post, it's good to see a devout christian trying to promote a more tolerant, understanding and "christian" interpretation of t'bible. At least they're not all stuck up, prejudiced wankers. praise be to jebus.
My faith in humanity remains on life support, thanks to St. Paul Fan.
I'm amazed that the mods let his post through. Then again, Bro. Randy probably just wanted to get in his reply and watch the mindless "AMEN"s stream in. Torture SPF by showing just how tight his grip is on those kids.
Okay... um, I think that thread has proven that Randy clearly gets his jollies from keeping people mentally imprisoned (such as his wife) and those poor, poor kids. Wow.
Seriously, every single reply praising him? Honestly, they're not Bible literalists - no one is, unless they, I dunno, refuse to work Sundays, don't eat shelfish, and stone their children for misbehaving. All of them are like every Christian - they pick parts of the Bible that suis their views (and in this case, they like it to suit their racism, misogyny and homophobia) and then tout themselves as "zomg!111 obeyeeing teh word of GOD!!!11111oneone". Even the Catholic Church's officlal stance on the Bible is that it's a historical account, and that the men who wrote it were simply divinely inspired, and you don't need to take it literally.
No one can follow everything in the Bible word for word; it's impossible, and anyone who claims they do, is lying.
Every time I see one of these threads that is followed by a series of "Amen, Bro. Randy" replies, I am reminded of that scene in The Mummy where the people are following the priest Imhotep, mindlessly chanting his name...
IM-HO-TEP, IM-HO-TEP...
And, of course, logic and accountability for your actions don´t count either. It´s all what the leaders say, which debunks, clearly, the notion of free will.

Seriously, that was my first image too! I thought the Zombies from 'Saun' would be more recognizable. Funny!
Well, it's very telling of T4C that the vast majority of replies on posts made by Bro. Randy or threads that Randy chimes in on is a simple "Amen, bro. Randy!" All he allows or encourages is simple cheerleading agreement with him, not thoughtful commentary on what he just said.
So, which one of you is St. Paul Fan? PM me and tell me, Im dieing to know.
"I cry to you, Brother Randy, to please, please open your eyes. I have prayed to God constantly since stumbling upon your website that he would open your eyes not to the outside world but to the creature that you have become."
This makes me wish there really were a god, just so he would listen to that one prayer and get those kids away from Randy.
With each "Amen Bro.Randy" I died a little inside.
"It is people like you who have twisted the Word of God in your vain attempts, for example, to find contradictions in the Bible. There are none."
I loled irl when I read that, although I suppose if you only read the bits which support your view, then you won't find contradictions.
"The 'message' Christ came to earth with was not 'love and understanding'. The message was also not 'tolerance'. The message Jesus Christ came to earth with was 'REPENT'."
um... what about the "love thy neighbour" bit? and heaven forbid that someone might encourage tolerance, it is only because of tolerance that you are allowed to run that cult site.
And how much did Randy go on about pedophiles and pornographers? seems like those things might be a bit too high up in his mind for him to randomly start talking about them like that (and I won't make a pun here about how he is called "randy"). Although it would fit in well with how cults normally develop, at least its only a website so he can't get to the kids in person (we hope).
Does this person think that Randy can give them a "life"?, a life that excludes 80% of the humankind?, that´s not life, as far as I´m concerned.
Randy: "We are not a cult. Right gang?"

maybe... if you think about it... the st paul dude does make some good points, some good logical points, that i don't think he would want to expose those kids to. plus, i don't think he's smart enough to write like that. then again, that post is still there, and is still intact. normally posts like that are deleted.
"I'd rather be in a cult and have my life."
Oh really, like the people at Jonestown, Waco, and the Heaven's Gate cult?
Confused?
