"Abomination" just refers to something considered merely unclean, if you look at the most original copies of the Bible available. That explains why the Bible also considers comparatively minor things (wearing mixed fabrics) to also be an "abomination."

Alright, this is really pissing me off. SODOMY is a word taken directly from the bible, from the kingdom of Sodom. Sodom is where people anally raped others for fucking laughs. Jim Rude, you do realize that the vast majority of Christians are sodomites? Seriously... they may not be gay, but they do routinely practice oral sex and yes, even anal sex. (I've even heard rumors of a Christian-based sex aid catalog that includes anal lube as one of its products... rumors not yet confirmed, however.)

Again, this is why I think Christians should only read the New Testatment. After all the OT has nothing to do with Jesus, in fact it's the Hebrew Bible, and all it does is put these horrible ideas in their heads which go against what Jesus taught in the NT.
