I yearn for the Millenial Kingdom. Jesus ruling with a rod of iron calling the shots is what this old boy calls TRUE government in action. It's going to be glorious and forever!

Of course not, Sierra, of course not.
<<It's going to be glorious and forever!>>
Eternal, maybe? Someone please tell me that this sentence really is brain-damaged, and that I'm not going quietly insane.
EDIT: it occurs to me that this Millenial Kingdom is going to be a long time coming; some 995 years, to be exact. Poor bastard, waiting for something he'll never see. Wait...
Does anyone else read this and get that image from "Animal House" of the sadistic fraternity initiation where the guy is getting paddled, and with each hard whack cries out, "Thank You Sir! May I Have Another!"?
~David D.G.
All these Rapture Ready idiots waiting for an event that was predicted by Jesus to occur within the lifetime of his followers (Matthew 23:36, Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30, etc). If the Messiah was wrong on this one, what makes them think they're remotely right?
Someday the rapture will come and we'll all be taken off to a magical land where a tyrant beats everyone with iron rods. Ooookaaayy. Which is scarier that some people believe that this is going to happen, or that some people WANT it to happen?
Either way, I thought heaven was supposed to be fun, not the lesser of two evils!
Lessee now. Ah, here we go:
"You do not lead by hitting people over the head - that's assault, not leadership." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
I take it this is a different Jesus to the loving fellow used as conversion bait?
"The last day will not come until the lawless one is revealed first, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so called god of object or worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God."
Not all Christians believe the last day is coming any day now. I believe in the scriptures, and they say things are gonna be TOTALLY insane (some president/emperor calling himself God), before Jesus comes.
Confused?
