...And in English?
Even if Chreationism is proven wrong, I'm sticking to it. 1. Because it's a more satisfying belief that your life is worth something and 2. Because God's Word the Bible remains true.

Point 1: You can't believe something you know is wrong. You can say you believe, you can act as though you believe, but you simply cannot believe what you know is untrue.
Point 2: The Bible, whether or not it is "God's Word," is largely NOT true, therefore, it cannot remain true.
TNF: I hope you read this site when I say this:
Your life will be worth far more to you if you don't stick to creationism and god. This life is all you have, and living it to its fullest will be worth much to you, and make you worth that much more to those around you. No need to rack yourself with guilt over trying to reconcile a bunch of contradictory orders, and that'll take a big burden off your shoulders.
If you leave a large or great enough mark/legacy/story/darwinaward behind, you'll be living eternally in the memories and historybooks of this species also. yay!
I take the reality over fiction every time .
we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?....For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. [Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World:
And how do you reconcile it with using a computer, a car, medicines and all the progress that, with your narrow interpretation of the Bible, wouldn´t have been possible?
Dear TNF,
Creationism is wrong and this has been shown, which would mean that its source (the bible) is also wrong, which means that the word of god is wrong, and so on and so on. Only a fool clings to an imaginary rope when a real rope is at hand.
Even if Chreationism is proven wrong, I'm sticking to it. Thanks for demonstrating what Mark Twain said about faith.
"Even if Chreationism is proven wrong,”
It’s wrong.
“I'm sticking to it.”
No one expects you to actually grow with new knowledge.
“ 1. Because it's a more satisfying belief that your life is worth something”
Yes, sadly the truth of science seldom promises you that you’re special.
“and 2. Because God's Word the Bible remains true.”
You JUST SAID that you’re supposing that a literal reading of Genesis has been proven wrong. For Genesis to remain the truthiness requires you to move that chapter to parable.
Confused?
