The guy who was director of the local "AIDS crisis task force" died of AIDS. So did his "husband." They had been together over 20 years.
That is all you ever need to know about these faux "marriages." They are about as "committed" as alleycats in heat. They can't commit, and they can't even love their partners enough to stop bringing home STDs.
The "LGBT community," united by its viruses.

Yeah, because those 'family values' Christians are never anything but faithful and trustworthy,, oh wait,, they're NOT.
So, a couple that was together for 20 years (until death) wasn't committed? And just throwing this out there... said STD could very well have been picked up over 20 years ago and just now finished the job.
Do you listen to yourself?

So much for your belief that LGBT people are fuckmachines that don't form any kind of lasting relationships.
You assume an awful lot. You're not even interested in the circumstances of this particular relationship. Did one of them have AIDS and was asymptomatic until after they were in this last committed relationship? Did one of them get tainted blood after an accident or coagulant to treat hemophilia? Was one of them infected during a rape and then infected the other without knowing? Could they have come in contact with infected blood while treating an injured person?
Either of them could have been infected via sex, but we don't know that and you know what?
It's not our business.
LGBT people are just as concerned about AIDS/HIV as straight people, which in the last decade have been on the decline. People of all sexual preferences have been protecting themselves.
Grow up and stop trying to play 'sex cop' for other people. They don't need your help. Or your hateful bullshit.
@KittyKaboom

If they were forced to stop playing sex cop, they'd be awful bored and might be forced to use their time doing something they don't want to do, like helping the poor.
Ted Faggard spoke out against homosexuality. He being caught with a rent-boy.
Josh Buggar spoke out against homosexuals being a threat to traditional family values. Buggargate. Ashley Madison; Buggargate II: Electric Buggarloo.
Your point, David P. Fart...?

You just said they'd been married over 20 years! How do you not see YOUR OWN CONTRADICTIONS!?
Because, of course, heterosexuals never spread syphilis or gonorrhea.....
@KittyKaboom I am stealing that "sex cop" phrase! It describes them beautifully.
Have you been refraining from sex with your partner due to the risk of catching an STD? If you truly loved your partner you'd back away from any sexual contact; it's all about personal responsibility. What's that? You haven't? Well, perhaps you could refrain from ignorant and hypocritical claims about the LGBT then.
Also, does anyone know if these two actually contracted HIV/AIDS through sex? I don't trust the accounts of a homophobe when the disease can be spread by other methods.

20 years takes us back to 1995. The HIV virus was identified well over a decade earlier so it's entirely possible they both had the virus when they got together.
Confused?
