The Bible is so clear to me that homosexuality is a sin, I don't see how anyone can argue in favor of same-sex relationships or marriages. The "gay" agenda in this world, especially America, is based on lies, distortions, changing the meaning of words, misusing words, false comparisons with other Biblical prohibitions (such as eating shellfish, which was made lawful in the New Testament), and any underhanded, devious methods possible. Same sex marriage is a Satanic counterfeit of God's plan. In fact, the father of lies has used counterfeit institutions, religion, inventions of men, philosophies, distraction, and many other methods to try to defeat Jesus Christ. That war has been won by Christ. Satan knows this, but will not give up until he has done all the damage he possibly can to try to thwart God's purposes for His creation. Keller is just a tool used by Satan for his purposes.

Ok, Ok, try and stay with me here.
Your reasoning;
(God+Bible=morality)+(Bible=anti-gay)=(Gay=Immoral)
Our reasoning;
Pain< pleasure=Moral. Pain> pleasure=Immoral
(Gayness=Pleasure)>(Fundies=Pain)=(Gayness+Moral)
This has been a PSA
It's called secularism, Joey. It doesn't matter what the big book of fairytales has to say if the practice doesn't cause direct and regular harm to unwilling participants. The law is kept as open as possible in order to allow everyone -- including you -- to live and speak as they will inasmuch as is possible.
such as eating shellfish, which was made lawful in the New Testament
Oh, really? Oh, really? Book, chapter and line, please.

It's simple. The bible is fiction just like Harry Potter. It is useless as a guide to doing anything in the real world.

This is a rare case of a fundie knowing his own book. He's talking about the scene in Acts where Peter sees the sheet with unclean animals on it and the voice of God saying it's OK to eat these. Peter then argues with God about the Leviticus laws.
Wow, The Christian Post is having a high old time with this subject, isn't it. I'm delighted to know you solved all the problems with murder and theft and all that coveting, so now you can get around to tackling a "sin" that was too insignificant even to make the Top Ten.
The Bible is so clear to me that eating shellfish is a sin, I don't see how anyone can argue in favor of eating shellfish. The "Shellfish" agenda in this world, especially America, is based on lies, distortions, changing the meaning of words, and any underhanded, devious methods possible. The laws of the Old Testament are not superseded and all still apply, as Jesus Christ himself said, "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled". Eating shellfish is a Satanic counterfeit of God's plan. In fact, the father of lies has used counterfeit institutions, religion, inventions of men, philosophies, distraction, and many other methods to try to defeat Jesus Christ, including claiming the old laws no longer apply. That war has been won by Christ. Satan knows this, but will not give up until he has done all the damage he possibly can to try to thwart God's purposes for His creation. It probably has something to do with the fact that the bible is not the law of the land and not everyone in the country follows the bible or your interpretation of it.
false comparisons with other Biblical prohibitions (such as eating shellfish, which was made lawful in the New Testament)
The prohibitions against shellfish and homosexuality are both found in Leviticus. If eating shellfish was made lawful, then so was homosexuality.

Maybe it's because outside of your own inner circle there are many that refute the idea that your holy book has any worth and value in our society. Then there are the other Christians that have reached different conclusions, focusing on the New Testament than Leviticus.

When was this? You can't excuse your love for oysters with made up Bible passages; that won't sit well with God. Besides, if you admit that Jesus was nonchalant about altering God inspired text, then you have to admit that the scripture relevant to homosexuality, which is Old Testament based, is no longer seen as sacrosanct in the eyes of God. The fact that Jesus didn't mention sexuality could be an indication that your god doesn't care about the subject as much as you'd hope.

It's easy: just realize that the Bible is a crock of baloney written by a bunch of anonymous Bronze Age Arabs and ignore it.
@Yossarian: I think he means that passage (Acts 10) where Peter has a dream that God told him to eat whatever he wanted. Mohammad used the same trick whenever he wanted to make up a new rule, too.
As Mr. Spak pointed out, the OP is somewhat correct in his assertions about shellfish. There's a passage where Jesus says that he fulfilled the Law and now entering heaven is through him.
Typical of the bible, there is another passage where he also says the Law is to remain in place until heaven on earth, don't change one iota.
So, take your pick.

Sounds pretty much like the fundies' agenda to me.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
