I'm reminded of the words of Mr. Eddie Izzard:

After watching two hurricanes blow the hell out of the southeast, I don't think it's an altogether bad idea to keep a few days' worth of nonperishables, clean water and other supplies, and possibly a means to defend yourself, on hand. Disasters can happen anywhere at any time that can keep you from getting to a store for a few days.
-dpaul-'s, however, takes what should be good sense and then adds a heaping helping of paranoid delusion. But at least he's not calling for some sort of global cleansing and mass death here. This is fairly moderate after some of the things that have emerged from RR recently
