A Harlem pastor known for posting homophobic messages on a sign outside his church blasted gays as “outright bullies” Sunday after a vandal painted “God is Gay” on the message board.
A male suspect is being sought for spray-painting the retaliatory message on both sides of the sign outside the ATLAH World Missionary Church on W. 123rd St. near Lenox Ave., police said Sunday. The vandal struck early Saturday.
Pastor James David Manning in the past has used the sign to display messages such as “Jesus would stone homos” and “Harlem is a homo-free zone.”
Manning lashed out at the vandal when reached by the Daily News on Sunday.
“Gay people are just outright bullies,” he said. “I expected them to act in a very violent way.” [Emphasis added]

I don't approve of vandalism, but I'm even less fond of raw bigotry.
If you expected a violent response to your your implied threat of violence then why'd you put it up on a billboard? And why exactly are you so pissed that you were wrong? You should be used to it by now.

Guy was wrong to vandalize but you see he didn't have a sign he could just change letters to express some hateful, ignorant and arrogant message on, like you do.

I must say, he didn't do a very good job of it, "God" only has one D. Go back and spray paint "God is gay" 100 times on the walls of the church until you get it right.
Remember saying that Obama is sending White Gay Men to destroy Africa is not bullying. Saying that Gays should still be stones today is not bulling ether.

Really this is not more of a case of eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. If you bully a group expect them to fight back.
Vandalism is not OK. On the other hand, there's no evidence to suggest that the vandal was gay, still less that he or she represents all gays. Using the actions of one person to target an entire class of humanity: now that's bullying.
So...you are wishing violence on homosexuals...no wait, since I smell a pedantic lurking around, I will amend this...you stated that your Messiah would inflict violence and capital punishment on homosexuals, but puttins gome graffitti on your sign makes US "outright bullies."

I agree that the sign was awful, but that doesn't mean I have to support the vandal. There are better ways to protest; putting the Atlah signs on here is a good start.
