My Church prayed for a new born baby last week, her name is Lauren -
She was born with all her organs in the wrong position.
The hospital sent her home to die without further appointments.
We had an amazing report yesterday, that her organs have started to move to where they should be - however, when the doctor examined her, they had to force her eyelids open, which revealed no eyes.
At 7pm, on Sunday, exactly the time of prayer. Lauren opened her eyes - her big blues eyes!!!! God has restored her eyes.
Don't you just love Him. (Pentecostal jumping in the house of God)
This is making a big impact on her family, they're not Christian (yet)!
Feel free to pray for Lauren and be a part of this miracle.
'Lauren you are fearfully and wonderfully made'
Thank you Lord

What does that mean, exactly, 'organs in the wrong place'? Certainly her heart wasn't where her uterus should be, and vice versa.....
I'm assuming this baby was a preemie and that the organs either shifted or needed further development to work at 100%.
It wasn't prayer that helped this girl. It was DNA.
"She was born with all her organs in the wrong position."
I told you you're holding her upside-down, you moron!
Why would God fuck up that badly and then change it just because a handful of people whined?
If God can do that, why are people born deformed? He could fix it, but doesn't because he wants to watch them suffer? Does he sit there on his ass, saying "Well, you never asked!" if nobody happened to pray?
Do these people even listen to themselves, arg.
One, organs don't just start moving around unless they're not attached, in which case they're not going to move where they're supposed to be, they'll just move. Two, organs don't just spontaneously develop. If this part is true it's not that the eyes weren't there, they were just obscured somehow.
But that doesn't matter, because I don't believe you for a second.
The condition does exist, it's actually quite common. It's called Situs Inversus, where the internal organs are flipped left to right, or in this case Situs Ambiguus, where stuff is messed up.
I have the former with a minor form of the latter. Meaning my heart, liver and spleen on the right and my gall bladder on the left. Further more, my stomach and spleen are switched.
My father has the same, as does my grandfather, but not my brother. Our form is never fatal, but certain forms are.
They are, however, ALWAYS limited to the internal organs. No disappering noses, migratory eyes or other fancies of imagination that the fundies post.
I just-what?
Again, with all of the medical problems I was born with*, is the reason I required surgery to get better was because my parents didn't take me to a Pentacostal church? What?
*(I'm fine now, though, but through SCIENCE!, not prayer, even though my aunt's church held a prayer service for me. Or so I've been told, I wouldn't remember if she did or not, of course)
ETA: Sanity , I'm glad you're okay. And that your family seems to be. I was born with an omphalacele , myself. It's commonly survivable now, but at the time I was born it wasn't.
"My Church prayed for a new born baby last week, her name is Lauren -"
WARNING: Everything after that line is bullshit .
Your description of her condition is a little...vague. Your conclusion that she was restored by your prayer and not something else is a baseless assumption. Oh, and the idea that eyes simply appeared in this girl's head is an extraordinary claim, demanding extraordinary evidence.
Bottom line, I wouldn't try claiming a miracle just yet, unless you wish to portray yourself as a credulous fool or a rank liar.
Sounds a lot like lying for Jesus, but in case it's not, why would God screw up making this baby in the first place? Oh yeah, he likes making people suffer in order to give his followers a testimony that he exists.
Sorry, but I just can't believe that the baby's organs were all "in the wrong place" and then magically moved to the right spot. Same with the magically appearing eyes. Why is it that these medical miracles are never documented anywhere but on religious websites? I mean, not even the name of the parents or any information that can be verified.
And still there are people who don't believe in miracles, even though we have starlio's word for it!
Pictures are totally unnecessary, with rock-solid proof like that.
Um... but do feel free to post the pics, right?
Such an extraordinary fact of migrating eyes and organs in a short time is surely documented, isn't it?
Hello?
Yeah, that's what I thought.
"The hospital sent her home to die without further appointments."
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the American healthcare system. Although delusions like this explain why they are against universal healthcare.
If the doctor told me her organs were in the wrong place and she had no eyes and later her organs and eyes were fine, I'd find another doctor in a hurry.
Children born without eyes usually have severe defects of the face because the presence of the eyes is needed for the bones and lids to develop properly, so I'm calling complete BS on this one.
It's amazing how often these miracles that would almost unequivocally prove the existence of some kind of higher power occur, and there is not a single shred of evidence, aside from fundy stories.
An infant that has its organs move back into the right place, and grows some fucking eyes would be the talk of doctors across the globe. There would be TV interviews about this Jesus baby.
So, why didnt god just make her come out right in the first place? He can do that, right? Also, lying for Jesus.
I've studied cases of situs inversus, and I've read where babies where born without eyes but never in my studies have I came across a single case of eyes suddenly appearing out of nowhere when there where none before. Proof or it never happened.
EDIT: How sad that nobody is calling her out on this lie. But what do I expect.
Would love to see proof of this (videos, DNA tests, ETC.). *Sigh* But somehow I get the feeling that you're going to tell us to "Take your word for it", am I correct?
first, bullshit of the year.
second, your thanking god for fixing his horrible fuck up. was all this grief and stress an accident or is he just fucking with you. think about it.
Why is this not front page national...hell...world news? Do you have the name of the doctor who can verify all of this? He needs to hold a press conference. The good thing is...that doenst happen because only the seriously deluded actually believe in the nonsense. Just like 2000 years ago, supposedly somebody arose from the dead. And....nobody fucking cared. Outside of the babble, not one writer, philospher, historian bothered to mention anything about it. Not raising from the dead, not feeding multiples of people from just a few fishes and loaves, not walking on water, not healing all sorts of people miraculously, not changing water into wine. Nobody wrote about it. Not one mention outside of the babble cult. Not a single historian, and there were many. And....this would have been a story of phenomenal importance. Not one word. I give it the same credibility as I give your story.
Anyone can make up a story. It's a lot harder to prove that your story is true.
In this case, you never will. I can suspend my disbelief just enough to buy the organs shifting, perhaps that can happen on occasion. But eyes cannot suddenly appear where no eyes were before. Unless you can provide unquestionable evidence, I have to assume you're lying for some reason. Probably to make yourself look better among this group of people you have chosen to associate with.
Even if this were 100% absolutely true where is your proof that your prayer or your god had anything to do with it?
OK, ok, I will settle for evidence then.
Great starlio, now get to praying for our soldiers who lost limbs in Iraq to grow them back. Chop, chop. Those limbs aren't going to grow back by themselves, you know.
So wait there is a medical miracle of THIS magnitude and the doctor in charge has not won a nobel prize for PROVING MAGIC EXISTS.
Your lying... I bet the baby just has situs inversus and your imagination ran away with what you think "switched about" means.
Will you cut it out, please? Everything is starting to be cut out from the beginning. I can hear you singing in every corner. It is not so funny anymore. I am not a creature of any ((@((@(@(@( demons or what you think. I wish you would, I wish you would, I wish you would I wish
Confused?
