Actually, what happened was that enough people pointed that the government had no right, business or interest to be enforcing the prejudices of racist assholes, particularly if these prejudices were religiously motivated (1st Amenddment, separation of church and state and all that jazz... :P) and that racial and anti-miscegenation laws were immoral and anticonstitutional, so they had to go.
As far as I know, the law says nothing about revising "God's plan"; for one thing, telling you what you can or can't believe would be anticonstitutional, you know? Of course, it would also be rather difficult to revise something of which no clear and uncontestably authentic version seems to be available, if it even exists. And no, what is festering in the skulls of your cultists doesn't qualify.
Most sane(-ish) churches phased out the racial discrimination part, but as far as I know yours is perfectly allowed to refuse to perform interracial weddings, if you don't mind being known as that little cult of racist retards.
