You're a Christian OR you're an atheist.

I'm an atheist Christian.
If any of these bible zombies have a problem with that, they can shove their heads back up their asses and STFU.
Having read battlefront's posts on that thread, it's evident that he's just another sheep, parroting what he was taught in apologetics 101. I'm not surprised at all that he came out with this simplistic, either/or nonsense.
Atheist means that we do not believe in a god or gods. Christians claim that their god is the only true god. Therefore, if you believe in one of the other gods, by the Christian definition of God, you do not believe in god. Ergo, you are an atheist.
This is just an expression of the narrow Christian fundamentalism regarding their exclusive claim to have the truth regarding deity.
And all Atheists are Muslims, right?
And all Muslims are Hindus.
And if you're neither a Hindu or a Muslim, you're a Buddhist.
enum FAITH { Christian, Atheist }

cin >> yourfaith;

No... an atheist is someone who doesn't believe in God. Whereas someone who doesn't believe in Jesus as the Messiah is : Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan and a slew of others.
You really should get a dictionary.
Wikipedia says "MASSIVE FAIL," since according to them there are 7 major branches of religions, with many separate religions branch religios within those, with perhaps hundreds of denominations.
Wanna know how many demoninations your own religion has? At least 300, Guy-who-has-never-read-a-book-and-apparently-know-nothing-about-his-own-religion-aka battlefront23
I have a feeling quite a few buddhists, jews, muslims, etc would have something to say about your statement.
Depending on the context, this might not be fundie. If, for example, the eprson with whom he was talking declared that he was a 'christian atheist' then this reply is perfectly coherent and legitimate within the scope of the discussion. I can not view the source, so I can't say for sure, but I suspect this quote has been taken out of context.
Or a Jew, or a Muslim, or a Hindu, or a Bhuddist, or an Agnostic....
Wrong. How do you manage to type and live at the same time?
You're either smart or stupid, guess which one you are? Hint, it's not the first.
Wait, but that means that I don't exist, but if I don't exist how can I be typing this? I must both exist and not exist at the same time... HOLY SHRODINGER'S CAT, BATMAN!!!11!!1
I can has paradox? :3
Uh, Jews, anybody?
Muslims? Hindus?
...Anybody?
I read the thread, battlefront is a YEC but this precise sentence isn't fundie: he was discussing with a rather confused fellow, mig_killer2, who seems stuck between Xianism and atheism:
battlefront23: Well if all belie systems, un MY opinion, Christianity makes the most sense.
mig_killer2: Im a christian, but not because it makes the most sense to me. Im a christian because it helps me as a person. Honestly, atheism really does make most sense to me, but it doesn't help me as a person. christianity does. believing in a God who loves me so much that he'd send his only begotten son to die for me and save me from eternal damnation.
battlefront23: Dude then why are you fighting me? We're brothers in Christ! And also its one or the other, not both.
After reading the thread (stupid site blocker at work), I have to conclude that Adrian's right.
In context, the quote isn't fundie. He's basically telling another poster that you can't be atheist AND believe in God (he fails to mention agnostics, but that might have made the thread worse).
If you actually read the thread and get the context it wasn't a stupid thing to say. The person they were replying to was arguing with him and seemed to be an atheist then said they were Christian and battlefront23 was trying to ask which tehy were because they couldn't be both.
There were plenty of ridiculous comments from battlefront23 in that thread, I don't know why this comment was picked out...
Or you're jewish, muslim, agnostic, buddhist, wiccan, or pagan. Course those are all atheistic aren't they?
Or you are a muslim, jew, buddhist, wiccan, pagan, or so much more.
Jonathan Edwards proves you can be BOTH. Christian AND Atheist.
...and in that order.
There, that's battlecunt(IQ)23's argument fucked. >:D
Your boolean identity statement is fallacious:
There are Christian theists and Christian atheists
There are non-Christian theists and non-Christian atheists
Fill the blanks, also add agnostic, etc.
Then consider the fact that you don't need to be atheist to accept reality, science, evolution, etc.
But your head may have exploded by now...
Confused?
