Another good hint for selecting your wardrobe: you should always do at least what the people who are in charge of you think is right, no matter what you think. (That's called obiedience. If someone wants to argue about me telling her to limit her individuallity.)...
I wear hems that remain past my knees, whatever I am doing, because I believe that's where a person's specially designed area begins

For some people, hems past their knees does not adhere to the fashion rules of what flatters their figure. Longer skirts make shorter women look shorter (not that it actually stops me from wearing long skirts, but that's another issue). Concepts of modesty and appropriateness change, and as usual, traditionalists are always looking fifty to a hundred years behind in rose-colored nostalgia, never mind that people were saying the same things way back when.

The Nuremberg jury disagrees.
'Specially designed areas'?
If I believed that, I'd walk around naked with a mask.
Well, I wouldn't because I live in canada and it's cold here, but the principle applies.
pvtbuddie, there are people who are insane and who will make ridiculous demands of you. What if one of these people happens to be in charge?
Also, what if two different people who are in charge give you conflicting advice? Hmmmmmmmmm?
Is it called the "specially designed area", because God paid special attention to it? Why not just call it the important area or the only area of significance in a woman? Isn't that the core of your faith, be obedient and bend over when asked?

No.
We had a few A/C failures in our building and some of the guys wanted to wear shorts to work. Boss said it was against the dress code. We couldn’t find a dress code. THere is a safety rule against open toed shoes, since it’s an industrial area, but nothing about shorts.
I was two days away from wearing one of my wife’s dresses to work. Clearly it’s not a dress code violation if women can wear it. But then my son bought me a kilt. I’ve worn that a few times. Wonderfully comfortable.
As it happens, I have Scottish heritage. I could claim i’m recovering my heritage.
But when the boss asked, “Are you Scottish?” i looked him in the eye and said, “Is that required in the dress code?” He’s left me alone since.
And half the office has worn shorts.

I feel no need to obey their THOUGHTS and BIASes. Let them put it in writing if they feel it needs to be a rule. THAT is TOO MUCH power. IF i’m on platform teaching a class or facing the customer, i wear dress pants, dress shirt, a tie. Just to sit, sweating, in my cubible, no.
Confused?
