That's not a reason, that's extortion...or blackmail. Gah, my brain's mush today. At any rate, he makes a bad place, and then threatens all his children that he will toss them there if they dare to stray too far from him. It's spiteful, and vindictive.
No, what is this "Hell" you speak of? I'm sorry, I just happen to live in this country called America with a predominantly Christian population, with "In God We Trust" written on all our money, so really, how can you expect me to know what "hell" is? It's not as the language we're typing in has a number of idioms that reference this "hell" and that English literature is full of allusions and references to this "hell" thing. It's not as if anyone in the history of Western civilization believed in or talked about this "hell," so there is no way that the concept has anything to do with my understanding of history. Therefore, I presume my lack of knowledge can be forgiven.
Also, if you happen to know (not that you would, especially if you speak the same language or live in the same culture I do) the answers to any of the following questions, i'd greatly appreciate if you answered them:
