[In response to the names on the "Jesus Tomb" being Yeshua and Miriam]

That's the funny thing the names wasn't exactly Jesus it was Jesua and Maraime (sp?). It wasn't the exact name Jesus and Mary. That's what I find funny. lol

Reminds me of an old Imus joke: if Jesus was a Jew, how come he had a Puerto Rican name?
Jesus' name (in Hebrew or Aramaic) was Yeshua. Greek didn't have an "sh" sound or a letter for it, so they changed it to "s". Also, they added an "s" to the end to make it "sound" Greek. This is like what the Japanese do when they borrow an English word. Because most Japanese words end in vowels, they add a vowel to make it "sound" Japanese; e.g., "chocolate cake" becomes "chokoretto keki" So in Greek, Yeshua became Iesous. In Latin, it became Iesus (pronounced "YAY-soos"). The "INRI" shown in paintings of the Crucifiction stands for "Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum" (Jesus of Nazareth (or "the Nazarene"), King of the Jews - John 19:19). The "J" we probably inherited from the French (Anglo Saxon didn't have a "J") and it became "JAY-soos". The modern pronunciation evolved after the "Great Vowel Shift" in the 15th century changed it to "JEE-zus". If they found "Jesus" on the tomb, they'd be pretty sure it wasn't the Tomb of Christ.
