After the church shooting in Charleston the Confederate flag became under attack because of an Internet posting by the perpetrator showing the flag. There was no indication that the killer was a student of the history of the South or in any way embraced the culture of the South. The Confederate flag became a symbol of hate. The State of California banned the flag. Where has any symbol of Islam been banned?
