[Episcopalian minister Sarah Kinney Gaventa preaches sermon comparing suffering of Michael Brown in his last moments to that of Jesus]
Thoughts while shaving: Rev. Sarah Kinney Gaventa? 1 Corinthians 14:28 "let your woman keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak".
Controversial only to the extent most are ignorant of the Word of God in an apostate, post-Christian, post-Constitutional America (Amerika). "Reverend" has lost all meaning, i.e., "Al Sharpton", "Jesse Jackson" et. al. The pulpits are filled with women, contrary to the Word of God! Even so! Come Lord Jesus! Period! End Report!

What saddens me more than this Troglodyte-type thinking is the number of women in pastoral positions who apologize for being there (Joyce Meyer is one), based upon their belief that their god wouldn't have 'called them to service' if some man hadn't refused his own 'calling'.
As if to say, "I know I'm inferior and not supposed to be here. God wanted a man but that man either didn't understand the call or refused and now you're stuck with me. Please try not to hate me because I'm a woman. In spite of my obvious birth defect (femininity), I can handle this. But I'm so sorry you have to listen to me and not a man, as god commanded".
How sad to waste your life honoring a deity that thinks so little of you and your natural gifts.
There must be some drugs in this guy's shaving cream. He always has these loopy thoughts while shaving.
I'm surprised he didn't comment on Michael Brown.
Last time I checked, Sharpton & Jackson were men, no "contradiction", there.
"Post-Christian" & "Post-Constitutional" are contradictory because the U.S. Constitution is secular through-and-through.
Mary Magdalene, Priscilla, Dorcas, Junia and O.T. Judge Of Israel/Prophetess/Badass-Lady Deborah would like to have a word with this guy.

Actually, no. It simply means that it's after both of them, not that the US was both at the same time.
He does have a point... the bible does say that women should not speak in churches or have authority over a man.
Which is why I don't think the bible should be used as a guide for modern living by anyone and should only be used as a guide to study the mindset of superstitious, misogynistic, bronze-age Middle Eastern goatherders.
PJBS' thoughts while shaving:
{Am I applying too much pressure on the razor?}
{I think I missed a spot.}
{Ack, blood! Gotta wipe that off.}
{F*** this aftershave stuff.}
Thoughts while shaving? BLASPHEMER!!! Isn't there something in the Word of God about the evilness of shaving and cutting you hair?
What did you say about ignorance, dearie?
Sweden has a female archbishop, and no gods have struck us yet...
I'm related to the Reverend Lloyd D Grimm, who has written several books. He will humbly tell you his mother was called to be a pastor and missionary, that she was afraid to heed her calling because of fucks like you. He will tell you he was born to fill the role she was afraid to take.
So, yeah, in this case the woman was God's first choice. So, please, tell my 90 year old great uncle (who has served in the church for nearly 70 years and preformed over 10,000 services) that you know better than he does. And then thank your lucky stars he is a humble man who won't send his Triple A ball playing grandson to kick your ass.
Women can be just as pious as men, and respond to calls just as well. People freaking out just because a woman is in the pulpit, whether they are in a church, synagogue, mosque, or any other place of worship, need to seriously reevaluate their world view. That's another form of discrimination that really irks me.

There is a Reverend Lloyd D Grimm Jr whose books sell on amazon. He is 90. He also has a grandson who played minor league baseball in Detroit from 91-95 named John Grimm.
A quick google search turned that up in a few minutes.
Also, the person you called an internet tough guy was supporting feminism. So what's your beef?
How sad.
I'm... tired of this.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
