I believe that God is true, not because of scientific fact but because he has worked in my life and I have seen him work in other peoples lives.
That's sweet and all, but that is nothing more than anecdotal evidence. It works to explain why YOU believe, but not why the rest of us should.
I am not saying taking a blind leap of faith, but no matter how hard Christians these days try, the Bible can -NOT- be proven in any way.
Yet you insist on using it as a science book.
That's exactly how God wants it, we are to follow him even though we know we cant prove it.
That may be good enough for you, but to me, that just smacks of "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."
That is true faith, and that is why we are exalted when we die and go to heaven.
Wonderful. Now prove to me that this will happen, as you're expecting me to live a life of misery or CELIBATE misery.
EDIT: Evolution has no real facts, ask them anything specific and they just dodge the question.
Yeah, well when you hear the drumline of "if evolution is true, why are there still monkeys" and "if evolution is true, why don't we see a cat giving birth to a goldfish," you kinda learn that no matter what you say, it falls on deaf ears.
From a distance, it makes sense. Up close, it makes no sense at all.
If you'd listen, rather than parroting off the standard, repeatedly refuted lines, perhaps it would become clearer.
