And why the hell is climate change in there with those other characteristics of human society? Sorry, Barb, the climate is what the climate is, verifiable fact. The carbon dioxide is something that humans enhanced, big time, but the "science" part of it is indisputable. The rest of your laundry list belongs under "sociology" instead. Let me guess, you mentioned the climate because it is part of your favorite political party's talking points, and you personally do not know a damn thing about the science, right?

I hate to break it to you, but there's a long history of "virgin" brides giving birth to premature babies weighing 7-9 pounds.
And humanity has been looking for methods of altering perception as long as we can determine. This ranges from kids spinning around until they're too dizzy to stand through drugs such as alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and sugar, to hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin. It even includes religious frenzies, which I'm guessing is your preferred method of altering perception.
Everyone else pretty much said what I was thinking on most of these, so I'll just add this:
Not pushing species toward extinction & not letting them be tortured or mistreated is NOT "animal worship"! Nor are those things necessary for human preservation!
