The United States of America, a country founded on the tenants and fundamentals of Christianity, is currently under invasion. We are being attacked, both from within and without, by Muslims from around the world. Whether we realize it or not, we are under attack.

Oh, I'm not even going to bother pointing out the obvious counterarguments. I will, however, put another check in the "It's a Cult" column. Attempting to rally your followers against an imaginary threat is a classic sign.
Randy, perhaps it is time for you to take those happy pills that stop making you think everyone's out to get you. They aren't, really, I swear... >_> <_< >_>
Well, Randy, seeing as how the vast majority of Muslims do not give a shit what we do in the United States, the fact that there has not been a single Muslim (or otherwise, to be frank) terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11, the fact that the only place Muslims are killing Americans is in Iraq and Afghanistan which, by the way, we invaded...
...I fail to see this "invasion" you speak of. Care to point out some evidence? 'Cause the only attack I see is in freaking Iraq...and that's us.
Under attack?, Like the Iraquis you have sent to a living hell, for example?, like Palestinians?, like we Spaniards and Irish?, like the poor Lebanese people?. Honestly, you're more fucked up than I thought.
ObsidianFalcon, who started the thread, to girls who said they wouldn't sign up because they are girls: "It doesn't matter if you're gender-challenged, I meant on principle." :-D
One of these days, Randy will try to start a war against non-Christians, and he'll get gunned down by the first person he tries to attack, and I don't know what I'll do first, laugh or wince.
TENETS, damn it, the word is TENETS! Tenants are persons who live in various dwelling spaces, often rented.
I don't know why that irritates me so much, but it does.
"Again, I reiterate my desire to one day see T4C retired as a quote source (if that even happens here) . It's like shooting fish in a barrel."
Oh, come on. It's too awesome to retire. And by "awesome", I mean "depressing".
Just a few fixes and we're good:
"The United States of America, a country founded on the tenets and fundamentals of enlightenment thought, is currently under invasion. We are being attacked from within by fundamentalists. Whether we realize it or not, we are under attack."
“The United States of America, a country founded on the tenants and fundamentals of the enlightenment, is currently under invasion. We are being attacked from within by fundamentalists intent upon destroying a democracy and creating a theocracy. Whether we realize it or not, we are under attack.”
Fixed!
Founded on the tenets of Christianity, eh? Let's check the list:
*Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Nope. (freedom of religion, Treaty of Tripoli)
*Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image... No.
*Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. No. (freedom of speech)
*Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. No.
*Honour thy father and thy mother. Nein.
*Thou shalt not kill. Yes. It's also common to all cultures (in some form at least), and good for the species.
*Thou shalt not commit adultery. Sorry, no.
*Thou shalt not steal. Yes. It's also common to all cultures with a sense of personal property.
*Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Yes and no. In regards to perjury, libel, slander, and fraud, lying is illegal. Outside of these definitions, it is perfectly legal. See "Iraq + WMDs" on Google for an example.
*Thou shalt not covet. Nope! In fact, this is the basis for capitalism.
So, that would be 2.5 out of 10. That's not including all the non-biblical laws about discrimination, status of women, domestic abuse, criminal punishment, and the total lack of Levitican laws.
Looks like you're wrong again, Randy-boy. The paranoia is just the icing on the cake.
Dear Fundie,
Why don't the words God, Jesus, Bible or Christianity appear in the Constitution & Bill of Rights?
@[b]Sophomore:
True; but those are state laws, I believe. None of them are included in the Constitution or Bill of Rights (the 'founding documents').
Regardless, that still makes about 3.5 out of the whole freaking book, none of which are exclusive to Christianity, and one of which is not nationwide.
"Tenants" of Christianty?
Are those the slaves, all the slaughtered Native Americans, the indentured servants, the sweat shop immigrants in NYC or some freaky combination thereof???
"The United States of America, a country founded on the tenants and fundamentals of Christianity...
No. Also, tenets.
...is currently under invasion. We are being attacked, both from within and without...
Yes. Although I'm still not certain how you got in, or why you're allowed to stay.
...by Muslims from around the world.
No.
Whether we realize it or not, we are under attack.
See response #2.
"The United States of America, a country founded on the tenants and fundamentals of Christianity"
Franklin thought the US was founded on "The Light of Reason."
Silly Ben.
The United States of America, a country founded on the tenants and fundamentals of secularism, is currently under invasion. We are being attacked, both from within and without, by religious fanatics from around the world and inside our own country. Whether we realize it or not, we are under attack.
Confused?
