I reember when I heard pastors say things like this about evolution and I believed it. these kids are in for a lot of heartache in their lives if they don't start reading the bible on their own and learning about the true nature of the God it describes and not the drivel spouted by Brother Bigot.

If the Word of God is enough to prove the existence of God, then On the Origin of Species ought to be enough to prove evolution. Especially since OtOoS actually contains evidence and explanations, not just myths and fairy-tales. Plus, evolution has evidence in real nature, and in museums of Natural History around the world; literally mountains of evidence.
