So a government mandated crotch-check/birth certificate cross-reference before you enter the bathroom is taking government out of the bathroom but letting people use the restroom they identify with in a self-regulatory manner and basically trusting people not to be opportunistic psychopaths - who don't actually care if what they do is illegal in the first place making that pretty fucking moot - is putting government in it?

And if you don't trust individuals to not suddenly turn into rapists with free entry into a bathroom why do you trust corporations with fucktons more power?
You know what strikes me about these deranged caricatures? They love to imagine that homosexuals are trying to be the opposite sex and have physical appearances and social behaviours (insomuch as the people making these caricatures believe genders have a standard codified behaviour) that would make it easy for them to pass themselves off as such. But when it comes to people who are transgender, which they often inappropriately conflate with homosexuality and do so in a way that does not match the person's gender identity, they'll assume basically the opposite. They imagine a large, hairy, potbellied man in a dress being macho and despite thinking he has to be gay this bathroom panic has him waiting to ambush women. While female-to-male transgenders, when they aren't ignored entirely, are basically passed off as a less butch version of the standard mannish lesbian stereotype and similarly assumed to not "act like a man" but dress and identify as one for some sort of short-termed gain.
What a jumbled mess of contradiction the bigoted mind is...

Most transwomen I`ve known did conform to this stereotype though but as I noticed more because it`s so thrown upon their lives than anything else. I`m an example which makes the rule, I guess, since there is very litle feminine in my way of conducting myself, xept for the looks and the build of a m sized WASP. Well, not a terran female anyway, for a klingon I guess I`d place something like a middle of the scale(sex without biting isn`t sex but too much will make it a fight).
