Well technically they are right. Pedolphilia is 'bad' because society has deemed it so. Nature doesn't give a sh*t about what society deems good or bad. Sexual orientation towards children is no different than any other sexual orientation, except that in todays society it has very negative connotations towards it.

Yes. Yes it does. Very, very bad indeed. It generally means that (1) adult women terrify you, and (2) life on a federal watch list can be very restrictive. Congratulations, you pass on both counts.
"Pedolphilia"
...so you like young aquatic mammals?
Now ask yourself why Beastiality - with animals of whatever age - can't possibly be any worse than Paedophilia?
I guarantee you won't be able to answer that, without your entire 'argument' falling apart.
Also, laws. NEXT!
Pedophilia is bad from a social perspective because it's traumatic for the sexually underdeveloped child, and bad from a natural perspective because... well, go look up what happens to the average pregnant prepubescent and you tell me.
The alarming rate of complication and death in underage pregnancies puts your dismissiveness about what "society" thinks firmly in the dumpster where it belongs. "Society" formed that opinion from growing medical knowledge and observation of nature, not getting stoned and passing around ideas for laws like bad poetry.
@Warren McIntosh
That's not what I was getting at.
I was going for a societies moral standards.
Muslims say Christians are bad because they don't slice up little girls cookies. Christians say muslims are bad because they do.
This dispute is entirely about moral feelings established in early childhood. Survival value of a practice is a different issue, and is not considered by the societies moralizers.
Remember Mohammeds 9 year old wife? I have read muslim claims that sex with a 9 year old is acceptable because Mo did it. What Mo did is good by definition, not because it brings verified good real world results.
Nature doesn't give a shit about your ideas of good and bad either, you braindead frog. Good and bad are human concepts, you cannot pull them onto Nature. Nature =/= good.
Also, cuttlefish males fake female appearance to get close to other males' mates. By your definition, if pedophilia is natural and thus good, then so is cross-dressing. Thank you for your cooperation, Bigot. ;)
Yeah. Nature kind of sucks. It's the original abusive parent, totally sociopathic in its approach to its children. Good at making babies but horrible at raising them. Hence the last 10,000+ years of attempting to emancipate ourselves from it. We're better off taking care of ourselves.
First three sentences are technically correct (although the second makes it seem like society just arbitrarily deemed pedophilia as "bad" on a whim, when there's a very good reason behind it). The first clause from the last sentence is wrong because even from a natural, amoral, evolutionary view, pedophilia is still bad because it's harmful to members of the individual-in-question's own species.
Yes...society regulates and suppresses certain natural behaviors. In other breaking news, the Pope is, in fact, Catholic.
Society regulates what it considers harmful or detrimental behaviors. Punching someone who pisses me off is the 'natural' reaction. However, it does harm to another, and if everyone just punched everyone who pissed them off, our society wouldn't get anywhere.
Pedophilia is no different. There is a reason informed consent is something of the law of the land regarding certain behavior. Take my previous example. If I step into a boxing ring, punching another man in the face is now a sport. Sex is no different. If the person can give informed consent, then sex is sex and you hopefully have a fun romp. If not...then it's rape, plain and simple.
Actually, there is a natural selection pressure against pedophilia; as #1996605 points out, there's a much higher risk of complications with the pregnancy and birth. So flairlon doesn't even have that consolation for his life choices.
Confused?
