“[comment on article "Intelligent people less likely to believe in God"]
I do not consider myself dumb nor highly intelligent either.”
And no matter what your coming example is, that does exactly squat to the trend that’s been observed.
“All I know is God has saved me from death 3 different times in my life. Even the doctors could not figure the miracle cure of my illness out, only I knew for sure.”
If no one could figure out what happened, that’s not much of a miracle. To be a MIRACLE, something that REQUIRES a god to explain it, they kinda need to know if they just misdiagnosed the original fault or what…
You were certain, but how do we know if you were right or just credulous?
"I feel sad for those high IQ's who are going to be begging us dumb and dumber people in heaven "just for a drop of water to quence the burning" they will have to endure.”
You COULD try to offer a better argument or examples FOR your god, you now. But as with most of your peer group, it’s far more satisfying to declare victory and revel in the coming suffering. Because that’s the true spirit of Christainity, bragging “I may be dumb but I’m not burning in Hell with you guys!”
"Hey guys, you will be aware of your surroundings and you will feel pain, count on it.”
I just can’t bring myself to adopt a system that purposefully uses suffering, pointless torture, to achieve God’s ends.
“Put your brains to work and find Jesus, ASAP!!!”
Don’t take this wrong but blow it out your smug, self-satisfied ass.
