“I think you guys have it all wrong.”
Do tell.
“There’s a difference between playing solider and being a soldier.”
And your time in uniform BEING a solider, would be: ???
I was in the Navy for 20 years, 3 months, 3 days, but go ahead and tell me.
“Women get benefits from the military and none of the hard stuff.”
I got out before the coed crews were on submarines. But i have reported to women officers and married an enlisted woman.
Only about 10% of the military is the pointy end of the spear. The rest of it is doing hard work maintaining and supporting that ten percent. And the work is just as hard for women as it is for men
“The military, esp the U.S. Army has been turned into a PC operation, providing separate little tree-houses for teeny little ladies who want to play soldier.”
Gotta citation for this? What would such a treehouse be? Supply? Intel? Signals? Still in uniform, still humping the big boxes of bullets, still in country where you can get shot at.
“The girls get comfortable little jobs,”
What enlisted speciality is comfortable and only for women?
“day-care,”
Depending on the command, I got day-care, if i wanted to avail myself of it. Long waiting list, though. And that was only at bases that were not in the combat theater.
“ health-care”
Everyone in the military gets the same healthcare, idiot.
“and a lot of moral support care while in service and then wiggle out with benefits and pregnancy.”
You’re describing military service for the most part. And pregnancy is not the career ender it once was. Do you know ANYTHING about the military besides what your Korea-era grandpa told you?
“They spend most of their time like a couple of chipmunks huddled up together in conversation frenetically squeaking to each other about themselves.”
THis is just a misogynistic strawman. Nothing about women. Esp. women in service.
“Much of the army has turned into a nursery for PC ideas designed to give women equality in the military. But only up to a point.”
Gonna need some actual citations, here, some soldier’s experiences. The women on my one coed ship stood the same watches i did. Worked the same working parties. Stood the same inspections. Went to the same sick call. Shot at the same range.
“You want to be a soldier, ladies?”
Oh, this is rich.
“Go soak up some bullets and piss on the Taliban.”
Women have died in Afghanistan, yes. Have you ever been?
