The United States was created for the express purpose of worshiping God and we are a capitalist society because we follow Christ's teaching. Capitalism, conservative and Christian, all the same thing.

Yeah, that wacky Jesus, always going on about his investments, and how his shares were doing, and how much to cut his employees wages, and how Roman taxes were eeeevil. He was totally a capitalist.
The Jesus mentioned in the Gospels, OTOH, not so much.
Actually, capitalism, conservatism, and christianity are all mutually exclusive. Jesus was liberal, as well as the early church. And they were far from capitalistic. Read Acts, they tended more toward socialism. There's no reason to think that America was founded upon christian ideals because the ideals of America are exclusive of christian ideals according to the New Testament. America =/= christianity, and christianity =/= America. Christianity is supposed to transcend earthly politics and materialistic concerns. This is what is taught in the NT. However, what American conservative christians have done is to take capitalism, democracy, and conservatism, and force these views onto the NT, by using any skewed and twisted interpretations of the bible that they can. I'd even venture to say that American 'christianity' is actually a separate religion from 'real christianity', at least as it's presented in the bible.
"The United States was created for the express purpose of worshiping God "
Treaty of Tripoli, bitch.
"we are a capitalist society because we follow Christ's teaching. Capitalism, conservative and Christian, all the same thing. "
Correct, except for the parts where Jesus Christ was a liberal hippie, and told his followers to sell everything they own and give the money to the poor.
You know, I like capitalism. I really do. The problem, though, with evangelical capitalism is that when you start preaching that shit to everyone of earth, eventually someone is going to get better at it than you. And, trust me, capitalism is only awesome when you're the best at it.

Jesus told people if they wanted to go to heaven, they should give everything away. He, himself, owned nothing. He certainly never suggested that a person should be paid money just because he owns a machine, as opposed to actually using it to make something.
this sums up the NeoConservative movement in a nutshell
America is God's country and greed is no longer a sin, but a virtue - a blessing even.
"The United States was created for the express purpose of worshiping God [...]"
Odd. That's not what the Constitution or Declaration of Independence says. You'd think someone would have mentioned it in one or the other.
"and we are a capitalist society because we follow Christ's teaching."
Which teaching is that? Certainly not the one where he tells you to give away all of your possessions and trust in god and as he will provide for you.
"Capitalism, conservative and Christian, all the same thing."
Riiiight.
Matthew 19:24 (New International Version)
"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Jesus was a liberal, and a communist. He believed in helping the poor and the weak.
If Jesus saw you today he would smack you upside the head.
"Capitalism, conservative and Christian, all the same thing"
Fail.
Capitalism is a liberal concept by definition.
Conservatism is not exclusivly held by Christians. Even I, a pot smoking, premarital sex having, abortion supporting, gay friendly early 20 year old have traditional Tory conservative values. On that note, guess what a traditional conservative values is? Universal nationalized healthcare. Suck on that fundie freaks!
Hey guys, I know a perpetually angry Swede who'd beg to differ with this guy. =P
Hint: "Jesus was absolutely against capitalism! Conservatism is weak, a dictatorship is the only way and it's Jesus' way! I HATE AMERICA!!!!!"
Treaty of Tripoli, bitch.
Also, Jesus was definitely not a capitalist the way you like to think about it. If he existed at all, he was probably one of the first socialist thinkers we know of, if not the first.
You really need to read your Bible,American History Book, and the Constitution. Jesus was a liberal(the pharisees were the conservatives) and the United States government was the most liberal government on earth when it was founded.
North America was invaded by Europeans, who brought over their diseases, and their convert and kill mentality. So much for 'created'.
As for the rest of your bullshit... yeah, bullshit sums it up.
Sorry, you fail. Perhaps you should review the first amendment.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Wait, is this the same Jesus who talked about how it was good to be good to people rather than merely pay lip service to God as in the good samaritan, and indeed was against speculative trading (Moneylending =/= No Good) which is what capitalism is based on?
LOL at this comment.
It really shows what appens when a few colonials get together and try to form a 'nation'.
In other words, you fuck up because you rely on God.
It also shows why all three hundred million of you are fucking imbeciles -- but, hey, there you go.
Oh yeah- Jesus was a huge fan of capitalism. He just loved money-lenders. So much so that he even let them use the temple...
...seriously, if you don't get this by now, you've never read the bible OR been to Church.
Capitalism, conservative and Christian, all the same thing.
So now, you're telling me that Jesus was a Calvinist? Do you people just sit there and come up with the most insane shit you can think of or what?
Well, yeah, so you allegedly like "free market economics" and "personal liberty"?
Then why do you submit under the iron fist of your "beloved father", believe that history is predetermined according to his "6000-year plan", condemn everybody who does not follow to you to the gulag of hell, and defend fanatically the biological equivalent of a planned economy, called "intelligent design"?
Regarding religion, US conservatives behave like the most fanatical communists of the stalinist era.
"Capitalism, conservative and Christian, all the same thing."
...which is now owned by the Communist, Liberal and Atheist China.
14 trillion reasons. Where is your God now ?! >:D
Oh suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure. Christ charged a hefty fee for curing the sick. Of course, if you had a pre-existing condition, he'd drop your ass in a heart beat.
Nice revisionism attempt there you fucking liar for Christ.
Confused?
