The reason atheists want to deceive Christians all of the time is because they have demons.
Timothy 4:1
sometimes they know the bible without reading it because the devil knows the bible.

And by that same token, those who claim god/jesus/moses or the holy spirit have spoken to them and given instructions could very well have listened to demons, the devil himself, or some atheist.
The devil is the 'great deceiver' and he knows the bible, how do I know you as a christian only 'felt the holy spirit' because a demon was fucking with you?
Think about it.
Actually,we like to read the juicy parts in Song of Solomon and Ezekiel. Those OT guys were such perverts. Paul is a woman-hating twit. Peter is a racist, Luke is an elitist, and John appears to hate Jews even though he is one. Thomas is a misanthropic prig. Matthew and Mark are the same guy or at least read that way, James and Andrew seem to be pretty good guys though. Jesus would a pretty nice guy to pattern a religion after, unfortunately you fundies chose Paul!
sometimes they know the bible without reading it because the devil knows the bible. Finally some originality on this site.

Or perhaps because you never shut up about it.
They know the bible and reject it BECAUSE THEY HAVE READ IT.
They also know some of it because of all the times fundies scream it at them (often in contradictory or senseless fashion, quoting sections that only have anything to do with the situation if taken out of context, twisted over a few times and reworded).
Nah, couldn't POSSIBLY be that. must be invisible evil entities that live only to make "good christians®" be "tempted" by "sin"

I am an atheist, but I have no desire to deceive anyone. I would like to help Christians get past their delusions.

So, you contend that anyone who reads the Bible and does not become a Christian is being influenced by Satan? Pretty convenient way of thinking, I'd say.
Flipper:
Nah, Matthew just copied from Mark. I've actually heard the Greek in Mark is a little stilted and clearly not written by a native or even terribly fluent speaker, which is kind of interesting in a world where Greek Koine was the main lingua franca. Apparently this is rather lost in translation.
Or maybe because they read it, something you don´t seem to do?. Besides, the demons, according to the Bible, only provoked spasms and some convulsion. They were not a boogeyman for every delusion a person has.
Well, you got us. I got a demon named Raspberyl in my room right now. She's actually pretty friendly. Calls herself a "delinquent", but really, the only major thing she's done is clean up my room.
... *cough*

So fundies have demons? Because most of them I've seen haven't read the entire fucking Bible and actually understood it.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
