Sorry but truth never changes.
Sorry, but viruses don't mate and breed together. So flu vaccines aren't based on transferring genes via copulation as animals and humans breed offspring. so it's not evolution that leads scientists to invent vaccines. It's understanding how viruses react to outside stimuli.

Carico Strikes Again...
And misses again
No, MORON, viruses use host DNA or RNA for REPLICATION, both of which, as a matter of fact, can PROVE evolution by comparing RNA and DNA chains among species.
Also virus caused diseases that are shared among different species is another PROOF of evolution... yep, sorry to break it up to you but a chimp can get almost as many diseases as you can and the other way around... er except that christianism disease you like to boast about.
Stee-rike three!
Yer out!
Viruses also undergo occasional genetic recombination, swapping genes in a very analogous way to sex in more complex organisms.
Some viruses are also multigenomic, i.e. have more than one genome per capsule. So where more than one virus particle infects the same cell, which parent genomes end up parcelled together in each daughter is determined more or less at random. Again, the random mixing of multiple parent genes in the the next generation acts much like sex in facilitating gene transfer.

"Nope because viruses procreate by dividing."
Well ... no.
Bacteria and other one-celled organisms procreate by dividing.
Viruses multiply by hijacking the genetic machinery of a host organism, forcing it to make multiple copies of the virus.
Carico, honey, just pick up a book of only to save you from looking like a moron on the internet.
And secondly, don't homeschool your kids. We have enough janitors.
viruses reproduce asexually inside host cells, therefore there is a potential for mutations, and thus evolution.
You strike out once again, Carico.
It's perfect for her since it's like she fully understands the mechanisms behind everything, and understand why it works, but she just renames everything or denies that it happens at all. You can't really refute it because it's like trying to refute 2 + 2 = 5. It's so incredibly stupid it's irrefutable.
"Sorry but truth never changes."
"Truth" is a relative term based on what you happen to know. You may believe something to be true but that doesn't mean reality is going to cooperate with you.
"Sorry, but viruses don't mate and breed together."
No shit.
"So flu vaccines aren't based on transferring genes via copulation as animals and humans breed offspring."
What a stunning revelation. Have you notified the CDC of your findings?
"so it's not evolution that leads scientists to invent vaccines. It's understanding how viruses react to outside stimuli."
The "outside stimuli" is, more often than not, the immune system of the host. Viruses that have mutations that allow them to hide from/fight off/attack the host's immune system live to replicate. If that's not evolution then what is it?
ENEMY PARTY, you know who I am, I just left CARM for good. I can't believe this moron doesn't give up! Now Cooties Coadie has bought his 1ness pentecultist in the Boards to trash the place. For fucks sake! YOu should read the board now, it's a fucking mess.
A.G.
Sorry, but viruses don't mate and breed together.
Correct! This must be a first for Carico.
So flu vaccines aren't based on transferring genes via copulation as animals and humans breed offspring.
Also correct if a bit of a weird statement. Maybe Carico is finally getting it...
so it's not evolution that leads scientists to invent vaccines.
...but no. An understanding of evolution underpins the entire field of biology, and especially virology and vaccine design.
It's understanding how viruses react to outside stimuli.
Um. Correct. Sort of. It's very useful to understand what things affect virus replication and infection.
Three out of four ain't bad. Actually, for Carico it's fucking amazing.
EVOLUTION DOESN'--
Wait.

-rolls up a newspaper and bops it across Carico's head-
No, no, NO! Viruses in fact, do mutate over time to protect themselves from vaccination attempts. That's proof that viruses do evolve over time.
Confused?
