Look guys. There is never a real Christian that will kill anybody. There is no "Christian" extremist. I don't mean, Catholics, Methodists, I mean "Christian" The belief where Jesus died for your sins and has washed them away. Nobody that believes that will kill anybody. Muslim is much different, sure there may be some that disagree, but there are some who are extremists. They are doing what they believe their "holy book" tells them to do. If one read a Bible, he would find no where that he should go out and kill 6 people in a car bomb for his God. It is different for Muslims. There is no Jesus, there is no forgiveness of sins. This may be offensive but it is only the truth. I would not believe in a religion, where some of its people think killing others is right. In Christianity, some of us Christians may debate over small theological issues but we do agree on the most important issue, that Jesus died for us. Muslim, there is so many different ways to interprate it, it becomes difficult to peg what they actually believe.

So was it the "real" Christians, or the "fake" Christians, that were responsible for “Fag bashing”, racial violence during the civil rights movement, anti-abortion violence, Bosnia, Ireland, The Thirty Years' war, the Salem witch trials, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Dark Ages...
Having been raised Catholic, I can confirm that Catholics believe that Jesus died for our sins and washed them away. If ya want to exclude Catholics, you might want to work on your definition of Christian.
Hell, you should work on it anyway because "Jesus died for our sins" does not directly imply "I will not kill anybody".
He must not be reading the same bible we all are. Last time I checked it condoned stoneing people over rather small issues. Being stoned for disrespecting your parents seems pretty harsh to me. But, at least he has the right religious attitude in that if you don't understand something, the best way to stomp it out is to make others fear it. And he's true Scottsman to boot!
What a jackass!
What? You're discounting over 50% of the Christian population in your question!
In that case you are right about 'true' christians, I'm sure neither of you has killed anyone....
The belief where Jesus died for your sins and has washed them away. Nobody that believes that will kill anybody.
However, they're perfectly happy for innocents to die horribly on their behalf for no very good reason.
Since there are no true christians then yes, im sure they haven't killed anyone.
Christians have killed plenty though.
My dad worked in London when the IRA were at their worst. Bomb threats nearly every day, bombs at least once a week. Why do you think the tube bombings a few years ago didnt phase us :)
"The belief where Jesus died for your sins and has washed them away. Nobody that believes that will kill anybody."
Except for most of Europe from the 11th-17th centuries...and except for the Crusades, most of that was Christian-on-Christian violence!
Also, Catholics and Methodists are types of Christian. Religious Identification Fail!!
Ambrielle: Try the one from Winace's old page. http://fstdt.com/winace/pics/index.htm
There seems to be a grey area between "kill" and "save". And what if some Tru-Xian got into his head the idea that some poor fellow is the devil incarnate, and caps his ass? What about the failed Xian mother that drowns her children to "protect" them from a fucked-up life?
Point is, there are fools and maniacs everywhere, but they tend to find an hospitable environment within the religious context.
You "Christians" need to extract your heads and deal properly with serious and verifiable mental abnormalities within your church tribes. Blaming the problem on demons and atheists doesn't cut it.
Well, that's a convenient way to try and wash the blood off of your religion's hands; if people killed in the name of your god, they weren't really worshiping him in the first place!
By the way, God does condone random murder. Look up Genesis 38:7. It just says that God didn't like Er and killed him. This isn't the first time God played favorites either; he randomly hated Esau (reason never explained) and the reason Cain killed Abel in the first place was because God arbitrarily preferred Abel's gifts, in spite of the fact that Cain had to work harder to give anything.
By the way, if Christianity is so unified and universally agreed upon, why are there so damn many branches that all call themselves the truth and label the others as heretics? You're a good example, to start with.
Are you really that fucking stupid? There is so much to respond to here that it would take me all day. I'll just tackle one...in the beginning of your post you state that there are differnt kinds of christians...catholics, methodists and, of course, true christians. At the bottom you criticize the Muslims for having so many different ways to interpret their "holy book". Can you possibly be that daft?
The fact of the matter is that you are all wrong.
If one read a Bible, he would find no where that he should go out and kill 6 people in a car bomb for his God.
You're right, it doesn't mention car bombs, but it DOES mention stoning people to death for stupid reasons.
The Bible is a User's Guide to genocide, slaughter, revenge killings, and various types of random killings. And they're all sanctioned by God!
If one read a Bible, he would find no where that he should go out and kill 6 people in a car bomb for his God.
You're right, it doesn't mention car bombs, but it DOES mention stoning people to death for stupid reasons.
Which is worse, I wonder, one lone maniac killing many with a car bomb, or an entire baying mob of maniacs killing one person? The end results seem worse with the former than the latter, but the former is just a one-off lunatic, part of society's irreducible noise level, whereas the latter is symptomatic of near total social collapse.
The Virgnia tech guy and the Oklahoma bombing guy weren't under Catholic or Methodist.
Have you read the muslim Quran? Its better than the bible, it tells everyone to be peaceful... Except for the part where he was explaining to Muhammad how to justly remove arab pagans from Makkah FOR THAT SPECIFIC TIME!
There is no "Christian" extremist.
Timothy McVeigh, Cho (Va. Tech perpetrator) just to name two.
Your move.
BTW, Catholics and Methodists are Christians, idiot.
your god orders you to kill homosexuals.
pick up a gun and get to it, you pusy. do you want to go to hell?
or is it just that subconsciously, you dont want to go to prison for something you 'know in your heart' is bullshit?
So, until, suspiciously, a secular constitution was imposed, there were no Christians. Or what?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
