Here in the liberal state of Oregon, that "Coexist" bumper sticker is everywhere and I hate it. I also have grown to hate the one that says "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention." That one is on a co-worker's car. At one time it made sense, now it's a mantra of the leftist liberals.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this isn't giving off a lot of fundie radiation.
Love thy neighbor, I suppose.
You saw a bumper sticker and had a cry in the parking lot. And you went inside the Borders or Barnes & Noble or whatever, and you saw some books on Tarot cards and had another cry.
Lord jEbus, how much longer?
Whiny little bitch.
As a "leftist liberal", I think that "If you're not outraged" bumper sticker is a wonderful sentiment, but a lazy way to make a difference. Still, I prefer the bumper sticker pseudo-activists over you bible-humping rednecks.
People like you are the reason someone came up with that "Coexist" bumper sticker. There are other countries where you don't have to coexist. Unfortunately, you have to become Muslim to live there--but hey, you'll never have to worry about a bad hair day again!
Fundy commandment #1 :
Thou shalt not be tolerant in any way, shape, or form, or be cast in the fiery lake of thorny-cocked demons.
To Mom The Dragon: They would probably say you are demonic. Heck, they would say I am demonic (and strangly enough I am a Christian, but not a crazy one). They don't like dragons.
But I think you would need a LOT of ketchup for these people...
"Here in the liberal state of Oregon, that "Coexist" bumper sticker is everywhere and I hate it."
Right. I mean, where did Jesus ever say anything about loving your neighbor as yourself?
In the Bible?
Oh.
If you haven't been outraged by the events that took place in the last 7 years, you are a complete dumbass.
I swear, if RaptureReady had no crazies, they would still have sheep.
"At one time it made sense, now it's a mantra of the leftist liberals."
Because the people at Rapture Ready are far too depressed to be outraged.
As an Oregonian, born and raised, I say FUCK YOU!
Boy, seeing me wearing my ankh would REALLY piss ya off, wouldn't it?
@atrasicarius: Where are you? Umpqua valley here! (Sutherlin/Oakland area)
@Mom and Fdragon: Whoo hoo! Wonder how many more of us are here? :3
@ Dr. Funkenstein et al --
Get your terms straight. "Leftist liberal" isn't redundant, it's an oxymoron . It's like "right-wing socialist". Liberals, in just any branch of political discourse other than the depressingly reactionary U.S., are centrists -- or even center-right a la Obama, Clinton, etc.
The fundies are still idiots about this, of course.
Yeah, but fundies think anyone to the left of them is a liberal-leftist-pinko-commie-socialist-anarchist. They have no idea there's a (rather large) distinction.
Although, I pretty consider premillenialists, postmillenialists, fundamentalists, reconstructionists, dominionists & christian nationalists to be basically the same, even if they technically have theological differences.
Coexist? Love thy neighbour? TOLERATE thy neighbour, even?
As the vending machine repair man said: the penny doesn't seem to be dropping.

Yes, how dare that stupid co-worker of yours not update his stickers according to your perception of current events? That is just plain rude of him. You know you should actually set his car on fire to make your point.
Translation: Waaahhh! I have to share MY world with people who don't believe exactly how *I* do! *stomps and throws Bible*
Geez, grow up little Becki!
@ Priestling: They'd crap themselves if they saw my pentacle
Rebecki, not one for deep thinking, likes ones that are short, snappy, Christian, and in words of one syllable.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
