Equality is a god that demands perfection, punishes weakness, and calls for the destruction of unbelievers. It is heretical to claim there are “different paths to Equality”, for there is only one, unquestionable path, that has many pillars which must all be followed. Its holy warriors must always be pure, must work twice as hard to cleanse themselves if any flaw is detected, and are always open to any practice that could improve their purity. It rewards those who fight for its cause, although its adherents argue over whether violence is an acceptable form of battle. Yes, Equality is a Muslim God.

"Your ideal society sounds like a lot of work and self-consciousness."
"Yes, Equality is a Muslim God."
The what? Islam only has one god, and they call him, well, God. And seriously, since when is there anything about euqality in the Koran?
George Orwell's real name is Eric Arthur Blair but you didn't need to know that.
All men are created equal but some are more equal than others.
Hypocrites hide behind platitudes.
So, Lynch a Fundie? One has to chose in a battle of mutually exclusive claims. Basic Jurisprudence.
Equality doesn't "punish weakness" and eliminate people who differ from the "model" (believers, sexual deviants, etc...)
You're thinking either about Social Darwinism (if we take your "believers only" part literally) or Eugenics (do I need an explanation ?)
Though seeing the "Holy Warriors" and "No flaws" part, I think you're describing Eugenics
PhillipGeorge(c)2013 - oooooops
Sorry dylanstrategie, I pasted that wrongly -too hasty by far, I put your name in Username and pressed send without even a quick proof read. Then I discovered I can edit the post but cannot correct the "username" mistake.
No, its fundamentalist Islam reworded.
All other adherents are subhuman?
unless the quote is a hoax. FBI - watch that man.
[This post IS NOT "Troy(?)" - it was a mistake - not a hoax]
Equality is the very oposite of perfection, stupid. It says that we are all worhty of respect, regardless of our gender, age, profession, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability etc.
IF equality is any kind of god, it's a secular god, a humanist god, an empathy god.
Muslims already have a God, the same God that Jews and Christians have.
Conservatism is a god that demands perfection, punishes weakness, and calls for the destruction of unbelievers.
There. That makes much more sense.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,...."
Oh no! The The independence of the colonies was based on the Muslim god. I guess that destroys the whole "the U.S. is a Christian nation" argument.
1) This is a gross misunderstanding of equality.
2) This is a perfect example of Fundie Rule #5: "If I don't agree with it, then the Muslims/Atheists/Gays/Jews/Satanists did it!"
There is a phrase I hear from mosque minarets several times a day - I'm not often up at dawn - "la illaha ilallah." It means "there is no god but god" and belief in a single god is one of the five basic points, or pillars, of Islam. Unless Avery Morrow is equating god - Allah is just the Arabic word for 'God' and is used by Christians - with equality, then equality cannot be a Muslim God.
Mr Morrow fails to explain what divine aspects there are of equality and why it should differ from any other abstract noun like, for example, freedom or strength. He provides no evidence as to why it might punish weakness or any instances of any call for the destruction of unbelievers, nor can he, for it is just an abstract noun. He attributes an orthodoxy to equality, yet he has not even explained what he means by "equality" - does he mean social equality, religious equality, equality of city and country, physical equality? The moment one actually applies any critical thinking to what he has to say, his argument falls apart. No wonder he describes himself as a "parahistorian" whose work is published by a company which largely deals with astrology and the occult.
Yes, the Muslims are fighting for equality. Equality for all, except women and infidels.
@Phillip George, what are you on about?
This kinda sounds like my hockey coach. He demanded perfection punished weakness, and called for the destruction of opponents and people who didn't believe in his system.
There was only one path to glory and it was sound defense with a strong forecheck. If you were impure you were dumped onto the fourth line. Violence was a completely accepted form of battle. Fucking bullshit that a guy who scored less than me got better line minutes because he fought every other game.
The Fundie God demands perfection, punishes weakness, and calls for the destruction of unbelievers. It is heretical to claim there are “different paths to Fundie God”, for there is only one, unquestionable path, that has many pillars which must all be followed. Its holy warriors must always be pure, must work twice as hard to cleanse themselves if any flaw is detected, and are always open to any practice that could improve their purity. It rewards those who fight for its cause, although its adherents argue over whether violence is an acceptable form of battle. Yes, Fundie God laughs at ideas like "Equality".
There. Fixed.

No, again I have to apologize to dylanstrategie in sack cloth and ashes. I accidentally pasted his name in the Username while trying to reply to him with a quick witted reply. Lack of proof reading is just lazy. too lazy by far, sorry.
'Equality' 'punishes weakness' 'destruction of unbelievers'.
You keep using that word, Equality, and I don't think it means what you think it means.
I ran into the source pages. The site authors basically champion eugenics (they call it Monarchism, for some reason) and deem Social Darwinism as inescapable and indelible. Among other things.

It should tell you something that Sarah Maid of Albion and Vox Day are on their list of recommended weblogs.
Confused?
