It's just a manner of speaking when someone says the Earth is "round" or "circular". Of course they mean the planet is like a ball in space.
If the only passage on the subject was the one describing the earth as a circle, you might have some ground to stand on. However, the bible also mentions the "four corners of the earth", and has a passage stating that Jesus was able to see all of the earth's surface by standing on a tall mountain, which is impossible one a spherical planet and seems to imply that it is indeed flat.
Plus "circle" is never used to describe a sphere. "Round" can be, since its meaning is less specific, but NO ONE describes a sphere as a "circle" -- a circle always refers to a 2D object.
You're grasping for straws here, pal.
Bible is way ahead of scientific discovery with its foreknowlede of scientific things and prophecies too.
Yes, like how the bible has managed to discover that bats are birds, insects have four legs and snakes eat dirt, despite our foolish modern science still being stuck in the dark ages, and of the opinion that none of these things are true. Unless you can show me a passage that seems to describe the theory of relativity, I'm going to stick with thinking that the bible is a heap of rubbish.
So top that dumb atheists!!!!
I believe this "dumb atheist" just DID, in fact, top that.
