The sad thing is that the majority of the press and the Hollywood types assume that anyone who is Christian is also a cATHOLIC. With that assumption, it is fair to call Christianity a cult.

I imagine his weird use of the capslock key is so he can not just deliberately fail to capitalise Catholic, but actively do the opposite, ie capitalise all the wrong bits.
You've got to be careful not to mentally overshoot when you're dealing with this guy; the above capslock trick would probably make some kind of sense if you were, say, six years old.
Brother Randy, I am not so sure Hollywood assumes every Christian is a Catholic. Rather, I believe, Hollywood would have everyone who calls themself a Christian BE a Catholic. There is a big difference. There will be a one-world church...and a Great Whore.
The finale draws closer each day.
Then these scoffers will see the truth. Oh, but how sad. It will be too late for them.
Disregarding his assertion that Catholics aren't Christians, I think what he may be getting at is that when you see a character who is supposed to be religious on TV or in the movies, many times that character is Roman Catholic. I think the reason for this is Roman Catholicism is more VISUAL than Protestantism.
To show a character as a devout Roman Catholic, all you would need to do is show them crossing themselves, display a rosary or a statue of Mary. Since Protestants, on the whole, "plainer", it would be more difficult to demonstrate that a character was, say, a devout Methodist.
"it is fair to call Christianity a cult."
All the time. Christianity IS a cult, I believe Randy's a Baptist so his denomination can be called a Sub-cult, the offspring of the greater cult.
Get that into your head Randy, you idiotic cultist.
What is you object to about the term "cult" Randy? Is it because cults usually revolve around a single figure whose opinions and beliefs are to be taken as fact? Is it because cults actively oppose dissenting views and censor those who express them? Is it because cults depend on a view of their members as somehow being special, while those outside the cult can be viewed as ignoramuses for not knowing of the cult or fools for rejecting it?
Yeah Randy, we can really see how an organization like that would rub you the wrong way.
So, I can think of many examples of films/TV Shows that show non-Catholic Christians:
-The Blues Brothers; while Jake and Elwood are Catholic, they go to an Evangelical Baptist Church
-The Office; Stanley is the only Catholic. Pam and Darryl are both Presbyterian, Phyllis is Lutheran (her husband Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration is Unitarian)
-The Simpson family is Protestant (when Bart asks if they go Catholic to get wafers and booze, Marge tells him nobody's going Catholic [three kids is enough])
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
