Are you going to argue that these people [the Apostles] DIED terrible deaths based on some second hand information that they couldn’t verify? Please.

Muslims kill themselves for their idiotic beliefs, does that make them right? If we're taking body counts here, I'd have to go with Allah and the Quran. And the Apostles' deaths wern't no where near as terrible as blowing yourself into millions of pieces of oozing slime.
I don't know how the apostles died, but look how the fundies jump up and down with glee whenever "god's retribution" takes out somebody they don't like - doesn't it look as if the apostles had incurred the wrath of the same god? Or is it Teh Debbil's werk when one of theirs gets it?
Besides, dying a horrible death seems to be the fate of damn near everybody. How many actually get a pleasant way out of this vale of tears?
“Are you going to argue that these people [the Apostles] DIED terrible deaths based on some second hand information that they couldn’t verify?”
THese idiots couldn’t trust FIRST hand information.
EVERY SINGLE TIME Jesus announced he’d do a miracle, the apostles started doubting him. “OH, wait, Jesus, NO ONE can do that!”
And lo, Jesus did say, “I’m gonna.”
And the apostles did rebuke him, saying, “No way!”
And Jesus did maintain, “Way.”
And eventually Jesus fucking did it.
And the crowd went nuts. The Apostles did dance and yell and exclaim, “HE DID IT! HE MUST be the Messiah! No one else could have done that.”
And a few days later, in another town, Jesus says, “I’m gonna.”
And the apostles doubt, “No Way!”
And once more, Jesus did weigh in on the matter with, “Way.”
Skipping ahead, we hear, “He MUST be the Messiah!” …again.
And again.
And again.
These plot devices aren’t real people.
Confused?
